Can I have a 6th star for this? Please?? I'm starting to think I need to re-evaluate all of the…read moreother 5 stars I've given because if this is in the same category then I must have been sleeping..... The best and most concise way I can describe The Huggy's Bar is "Welcome to America." -Literally the best burger (vegetarian) I have ever had. This baby was stuffed so full of goodness I was only able to eat two bites with my hands before it started falling apart (Huggy's, that's a good sign in my book) Not only was this burger out of this world, they also offered numerous burgers I'm also able to eat--another vegetarian and about a handful of different fish burgers. The list of meat burgers almost makes me want to go back to eating meat--including beef, chicken, lamb, duck....prepared in so many different ways -Fries. America, you have been doing it wrong all these years, please take some advice from Belgium (specifically The Huggy's Bar) in how to make the perfect fries. Not only that, but they have various sauces available (mayo, ketchup, others if you ask)....coming from a Belgian sauce company that is delicious. -Free refills. For an extra couple euros, you get free refills on your drinks! THANK YOU! I always get water but still really appreciate this. Why isn't the rest of Europe doing this? O, and not only that, you get free refills on fries too....but they give you plenty so you probably won't need it. -Beer. I'm not the biggest beer fan personally, but I find it awesome that they have beer pairings with the different burgers they serve. I do really want to try the Belgian Pale Ale they brew themselves, curious how it tastes...O, and I don't think the free refills extend to alcohol...but you can always try and ask ;) -Atmosphere/decoration is well thought out and great. The place has a very open layout that can accommodate big groups and viewings of different sporting events (I can imagine during the World Cup, WorldCup or whenever the Red Devils are playing it is packed!) -Price, can't beat, I think we came out at 15eur or under per person! -You will leave feeling so full! I was so tempted to get a milkshake but thought the better of it as I would have needed to be rolled out the door in that case. -All that's left to say is go!! BUT don't forget to make a reservation well enough in advance...I've heard best is at least a week or 2 in advance so if you have a specific date/time in mind book early! Otherwise, be flexible and go during lunch..your body will digest better anyways ;) Can't wait until next time I visit The Huggy's Bar again!! Seriously worth the trip to Liege.

They have a nice restaurant and beer garden. The food is underrated. I had the boulet and they were ridiculous. The sauce that came on them were ridiculous. The fries were crunchy with a soft interior. Belgians just know how to do fries the right way. Everything is made fresh here and you can taste it. The bread was even some of the best I have had! The curtius beer was my favorite. It is light and goes down easy. You can also buy some to-go from the shop and I highly suggest you do that! So good! The service was great and the place was clean and fun. Apparently they have different parties and beer tastings when the weather is nice. Come check it out you won't regret it.

We walked past it last year and didn't have time to stay, so a year later we made it a special point to pop in here after our climb up and down the Montagne de Bueren. Their beer, Curtius, has taken over the town, and for good reason - it's a great, dry Blonde, at 7%, with a little cloudiness that's likely the result of some wheat in the mash. It's like a Duvel but drier and not quite as strong. They have a bar menu but were out of most things when we were there. So we got hapjes (chicken wings) and the cheese plate, which had 3 outstanding cheeses, including a really nice local chevre.
