They replied they had gluten-free bread and wraps. So I ordered the gluten-free CHICKEN CEASAR WRAP. I first ordered it with mashed potatoes... in which the waitress came back and informed me that they would take too long to make... so I got fries instead. My wrap comes, and I take my first bite and I chewed right into a wrap FULL OF CRUTONS, dried old unseasoned chicken, and hardly any ceasar dressing on my wrap. I told them there was croutons so I kindly asked them to just take it back and I wouldn't need anything else from them as the fries were also coated in batter. She says she'll try again.. so they did and it was just leaves and dressing ONLY (NO CHICKEN IN A CHICKEN CEASAR) SHE LOOKS AT ME AND SAYS... WELL YOU DIDN'T SPECIFY... I SAID CHICKEN ISNT GLUTEN SHE SAYS NO ITS NOT. SHE TELLS ME I'M CONFUSING HER WITH ALL MY STUPID GLUTEN SHIT. I usually tip... 20% all regular service and 25% great service. They got NOTHING. Lots of home cooked favourites to be had. We both had the Big Al burger platter. Delicious homemade patty lightly spiced and freshly cooked, bacon, cheese and the works. The platter comes with fries, rings and coleslaw. A very substantial meal I must say. They have a daily special so a couple days later I dropped by with my son. He had the Big Al platter and I had the special which was a chilly cheese dog. The dog was sloppy so Al brought me a fork with it but OMG it was good. Homemade chilli too. The decor is diner style with lots of antique radios, cameras and old house hold items on the shelves. Al built and raced cars in his youth and there are lots of pictures of old cars on the walls, one with him and his wife beside his 74 AMX. A great spot for breakfast and lunch. Closes at 2pm. Highly recommend.
