Great service! In addition to selling pharmaceutical items, they also sold essential oils and even a section for makeup complete with foundation, mascara, and what have you. AND they take card. Sold! It's unfortunate they close so early on the weekdays (6:30pm) and don't open on the weekends. I think they open weekdays at 8:30am but will need to reconfirm when I pass by next time I'm there.

This pharmacy is not as cheap as you might think given the location and the general Co-operative cheapness but there are some good deals to be found. Archway's branch does a lot of gift sets like a Mr. Men soap set for 2.99. The other sets are the same price they would be at Boots (10 pounds or so for a name brand cologne/perfume set). The makeup selection is small and they sell Rimmel and Bourjois which is decent quality stuff. My St Ives stuff is the same price here as Tesco (about 3 pounds)so I'm not that impressed. All in all, I think this pharmacy is a decent and if they had a makeup deal I'd buy some Rimmel here.

If you need to pick up anything locally from a sandwich to a prescription and everything in between, my local Boots has a great profile of stock that suits everything I need. The staff here are pretty good and they are all friendly and helpful. I know it is not the largest Boots around - obviously a huge Boots store like Oxford Street puts this place completely to shame. However, if I need any of the essentials from the chemist, this branch of Boots delivers it in a good value for money, reasonably stocked way. The problem is that I have been going here for too long, and do not notice how handy this place is. I would be really upset if I didn't have this available. Viva Boots!

They invariably have good deals on shampoo and skincare throughout the whole year, and have thankfully expanded to sell perfumes so at least that's a good way of attracting customers. Superdrug will often also have deals that supermarkets won't have so much of, for example hair removing products are usually a third off, and they have a good selection of vitamins and other medication. This store is quite small compared to other Superdrug stores but it has most of the essentials you would need to buy.

I should be taking out shares in pharmaceutical companies. Superdrug is one such destination, and this branch is very conveniently located in the shopping centre adjoining Clapham Junction station. It's reasonably sized, so has a fair choice of cosmetics, toiletries and over-the-counter medicines. It's also cheaper than Boots, although the surroundings also feel a bit more basic. The staff I encountered were helpful in an unhelpful sort of way. I wanted an expectorant, but was told they didn't have any - yet many of the 'chesty cough' mixtures do contain expectorant. They seemed keen for me to buy one particular product, but in the end I chose something different, and the salesperson became equally keen on that. A bit more discernment would have earned an extra star.

I feel that a lot of this is due to the same staff have been working here for a number of years, which gives me a feeling of comfort when I visit. All of the regular pharmacy supplies and prescription services are available here. From from fragrances to hair colour to electric toothbrushes to prescriptions. They always know their stuff here, and are eager to advise with any medicines that they provide or recommend. I really do like the fact that this place still has the same look and attitude that it had many, many years ago. It is definitely an old-fashioned type chemist. It is not to say that everything here is entirely nostalgic, they do embrace many progressive and forward thinking remedies. I do love it here and hope that they continue to trade well in the face of strong competition from chains that inhabit the high street. The only thing that I can say that I have against Vineyard Pharmacy is that some of the prices are a little high on certain items. Other than that... all great!
