My name is K. Waites .. My recent experience at this facility for a mandatory employment drug…read morescreen was highly unprofessional and resulted in significant financial and professional repercussions. The following issues occurred during my visit: * Procedural Failure: I was not asked to disclose or document my current legal prescriptions prior to the screening, which is a standard medical and legal safeguard. * HIPAA/Privacy Violation: Immediately following the initial screen, the technician contacted my employer's HR representative directly. She disclosed a preliminary positive result for a substance (later confirmed as my prescribed ADHD medication) without clarifying that it was a legal prescription. * Bypassing MRO Protocol: Under standard drug testing regulations, preliminary results should be verified by a Medical Review Officer (MRO) before being reported to an employer. By reporting this prematurely, the technician caused me to be placed on a one-week job suspension and still ongoing. And may affect my chance of being hired. They shared my private medical diagnosis with my employer without my consent. * Inefficiency: After being called and told to return to the RMC Tyler Center, from 30 miles away for a confirmatory screen, I was made to wait three additional hours. While Dr. Little (MRO) contacted me three days later to verify my prescription and correctly reported the result as a Negative result, the technician's initial actions had already caused irreparable professional damage. This facility's failure to follow proper reporting chains and protect patient confidentiality has directly impacted my livelihood. I would caution anyone requiring a professional screening to be wary of their handling of sensitive medical data

You use a kiosk to register your basic information, scan your ID and insurance card if applicable. Then your called over to the registration desk to complete the process and receive an ID bracelet. Wait was very minimal and the x-rays took less than 10 minutes. Very convenient.

This facility earns a 3 Star from me because of one Nurse. Without her, the rating would be in the…read moretoilet. Let me explain why. The Nurse I speak of did her job. From my understanding, she's the one that passed medication, checked in on Residents. From my and the families perspective, thats what she did. Anytime we were there, at the least, if we went to her, she sailed to the ma in laws room. The positivity stops there. My mother in law was sent to this place fresh out of the hospital. She'd been in so long she couldn't walk on her own, at the time. She couldn't stand on her own. She'd been in a bed for weeks. (I do believe high blood sugar and some other difficulties play a part) The entire time she was in Northside, she was kept in the bed and rarely put into a wheelchair to sit, hovered over, complaining about her back hurting her. Ain't no wonder why. She spoke of being left alone for long periods of time. That's understandable. We went to visit every day and she was always in the bed. Her husband (pa in law) was there more often, of course .. and says many times he'd come in and she was sitting in her own waste. Pardon grossness but I speak of "#2" where she needed cleaning up. She'd lay there hours on end waiting for assistance to use the restroom or a pan etc. Her mental and physical capabilities got so bad that when she was ushered out the door (on a Sunday with a confusing list of medications) she was home a mere 5 hours before she had to be taken to the hospital again. She was in pain, her blood sugar was reaching 600 (I am sorry but thats BS!!!) It is crystal clear she was forgotten OR neglected. I do understand the workers get busy. I get that, I have had jobs in the past similar and the same as they. However, in that sort of position, you can NOT look at your patients as a JOB. They are PEOPLE WHO NEED YOU. My mother in law was in the hospital for about two weeks the SECOND time around (thats more BS, sorry) Then, after pleading with the place, PLEASE DO SOMETHING FOR HER, she was admitted to another facility. Y'all ... she was better .. listen to me ... the - next - day. No she couldn't run marathons but she stood on her own two feet for a few solid minutes. Yes she still needed assistance at that point but she went from being able to do NOTHING at Northside to making progress the day after. She had rehab .. DAILY. Not weekly. For almost two hours and she enjoyed it. She is now home, thank mercy, and this place even set up assistance to come into her home. She's on the mend. She's an amazing lady who doesn't have one ounce of "I give up" in her body. She's gonna be fine -- no friggen thanks to Northside. In the father in laws words: "I wouldn't put a dog in Northside" Bit of advice: When your loved one needs that assistance, ask the Hospital to please place them in a facility that "associates with the Hospital". I pleaded for solid hours, many days in a row. But we got her where she needed to go Prayers and Blessings to anyone reading this. Nothing- nothing- NOTHING trumps the wellbeing of you and your loved ones.

This facility is HORRIBLE!! It is like a horror movie. The patients are not cared for at all. My…read moremother-in-law almost died while there for rehab. They did not care for her and she was sent back to the hospital and placed in ICU for kidney failure. My husband had to call and get the nurses to check on her after he talked to her and she was so sick. If he had not called she would have laid in the bed and died. They took no responsibility for her care or lack of care. This place is run down and looks like a dump. It should be shut down. The staff is incompetent.
