After 2016 hurricane Matthew, I've had over a dozen repair people here. Mostly awful. We, the…read morecommunity, are at their mercy once they start and drag things out, over charge, and make a mess, and rarely finish or do what they promised. It's exhausting and it's been so stressful.
So much so, that I had to take a break.
Finally, last week, I dove back into a search to have drywall repair done, a professional finisher to
match a 4x4 patch in my knockdown finished ceiling, after a hole sat there until I had a new roof put on. So the ugly patch just sat there for 2 years because the drywall person, Heather, never came back to finish. Regardless of finishing, these crazy so called carpenters, need to be paid daily. It's nuts.
And anyone else who seems professional, are greedy, and don't want to come out for a small job.
I spoke with Jeff from "IHeart," on Friday, Saturday he came to estimate and Sunday he started the job. When I found IHeart Home Cosmetics listed under drywall repair, I got lucky! (So grateful I had to share)
Because if the timing of my situation, he cane out SUNDAY! Father's Day with his daughter who is an ACE, detailed and neat, as well as very bright and polite, and together, they repaired drywall on a ceiling and at a wall where a curtain rod had left a gaping hole. They also fixed finished matched and painted the huge hurricane hole. They did this in 3 partial days, moved things, prepped, did the job, cleaned up and are fine. Beautiful work, professional attitude and no drama! Jeff warmed me it could be about a week of coming and going. He was outtta here in 3 days!
