This year my husband was advised in advance that there is an additional fee if they must dig to uncover clean out lid. Since we had warning my husband dug the dirt covering the clean out lid. Shelby Septic arrived pumped the tank and covered the lid with the mound of dirt my husband had made. Bonus the serviceman gave us a recommendation on what to add to the toilets and drains to help break down the sludge. We had regularly added Ridex to the toilets. It turns out that a better substance to add to the tank is yeast. So the last time I was at Sam's I bought multiple large packages of yeast.
