Not a very enjoyable business transaction with this company. I ended up well out of pocket once I was "persuaded" that the car I was trading in was not worth that much (yet they have it on autotrader at £1500 more) and the car I bought was missing a few things like the £20 fuel promised, two new tyres to replace the barely legal ones, & the tyre caps on the rear wheels. Most worrying thought is the disclaimer I signed on completion. Apparently this was my agreement not to pursue CarStar for any money if the car needed fixing under the "given" 3 months warranty and the cost was over £500. Apparently I had foregone this "right" when I declined the rather expensive alternative warranties they tried to sell me. Whether their disclaimer would stand up in a court of law is another matter, and one I hope I don't have to find out. So if you want to avoid giving yourself all this hassle, just don't go to CarStar ! read more
