Most places were overcrowded, with the PT constantly bouncing between patients and rarely giving proper attention. Often, assistants guided the sessions, and I was left on my own without clear direction. That all changed at FOX Physical Therapy. I feel very lucky to have found Braulio, who is by far the best physical therapist I have ever worked with. At first, I was nervous it would be like other facilities, but Braulio explained that he treats a maximum of two patients at a time, and that made all the difference. Braulio is incredibly attentive and present. Even when working with another patient, he is constantly watching me, giving me feedback, correcting movements, and motivating me even from across the gym. He explains exercises clearly, remembers details even months later, and truly knows how to motivate you, especially when you don't feel as strong or in shape as you once were. What really stands out is that he stays focused on the work. There's no wasted time or unnecessary chatting. You can genuinely tell that he cares about your recovery and progress. I could go on with many specific examples, and write an immense review, but the bottom line is that Braulio is a highly skilled, dedicated, and truly caring physical therapist, and I recommend him without hesitation. They also tend to greet clients by first name immediately upon entering, so it seem like a small, familial practice. For many clients, it seems they start with heat, a manual massage, followed by exercises, and then icing and some sort of electric wave therapy. I've predominately been seeing Ale, who is great - he answers all of my questions, makes me feel extremely comfortable, and is just fun! I went here for about a month and ended up leaving in worst shape than how I arrived…read more I stated in my first session that I was uncomfortable with manipulations and DID NOT want any performed on me. In a later session, after trusting my body into their hands, I was manipulated AGAINST MY WILL and a motor nerve was pinched during the manipulation. When I called later on and expressed the pain and lack of mobility I was STILL experiencing weeks later (I could not move my arm, I could not lift it. Performing daily tasks were incredibly hard, like getting dressed.) I was GASLIT by the owner. Saying that "MY BODY" didn't react to the treatment well, and that I had a "COMPLICATED" injury and that what they did was actually a "MOBILIZATION" All Lies! To try and save their practice and to not refund me for the session in which I was injured on their property. It's black and white: I arrived on property, with full mobility, and I left barely able to move my arm. To say to me that this was "my bodies fault" is so unbelievable. They did eventually offer me a refund if I signed paperwork to release them of liability. I felt it was better to share my story, because if I knew what I know now, I would've never went. This injury impaired me for nearly 2 months!

They formed an aquatic therapy plan that led me to be able to then follow up with a regular physical therapy. They are pain management experts. I see how they treat other patients and their injuries. All I can say is they tailor their care according to what has happened to you. They are unlike the other therapy places I went, which to that had me do the same excersises every one else did, no matter their injury or situation. Bottom line....... These people know what they are doing. If they take your insurance I highly recommend them. And better still they have locations by UM, in Kendall, and at one other place. Check them out.
