ARE YOU WANTING CHANGE? ARE YOU SCARED?…read moreARE YOU STRUGGLING? I said yes to all.... I am now grateful for a group of people striving towards a common goal. 1st steps staff are not career driven, they are purpose driven. Purpose of saving lives one gathering at a time , one class at a time, and most importantly one heartfelt relatable story at a time. The first step into their front door started with a warm welcoming followed with the staff working with my schedule, allowing me to continue being productive, not tampering with my emotional state creating additional triggers. They are solution based! As a lost soul, drinking as an alcoholic for 31 years, while attempting various programs, destroying relationships, and needing change... Finally something worked!!!! The notable staff..... Kim, a friend, a mentor, a leader, a hand out for help, a genius, a warm heart, has been an element of the glue that has kept me stuck in sobriety. My wife looks forward to her words of encouragement and wisdom. Kim I respect tremendously, I'm so happy she has been placed in my life. Sue, soft composition and passion for spirituality helped me grow. Accepting progress not perfection, her way of asking for one to share always allowed the emotional poison to be released. She helped me see my existence, moving in the direction of realization "I am somebody". Mathew, a brother from another mother. Exactly that! A brother to keep it real, provide a share of reality. Things people/I need to hear, helps with my reality check. He encourages the embracement of the situation, and it works.Colleen, respectfully intelligent, well spoken, and dedicated to the topic at hand. The respect she shows, the respect she gets, the respect of education made me sit down and listen. Her flawless presentations were always engaging. She helped/helps my marriage succeed. This is the place to be, to help with a needed Life Change.... The people of First Steps have helped change my life in a positive direction.. The sessions were ways to "Wet my Whistle" for various other avenues and supportive groups to maintain and cope with what comes along with sobriety. I can truly say I love these people. They have been put on this earth for you, you right there reading this!! Make the step, make the 1st step...... You want what we have, than get started, don't wait... I love this place, if asked I'd be honored to share with the world and be their spokes person.... If it worked for me it will work for you. Forever grateful, Brian G

I have a lot of experience at these facilities. From Betty Ford in Palm Springs to Dreamlife in…read morePennsylvania to SRC County run rehab in Ceres and many others....hey still trying 1 thing I had to do was take the staffs advice and continue care after 30 days. I went into this 100% committed to the process. I was coming off of fentanyl and meth and alcohol so I knew I was in for it. The withdrawals were going to be severe. I have never went to a rehab to where the meds were mismanaged. Example one night the lady working there gave me a full pill and she was supposed to to cut it in half because the dose called for half the mg that came in the pill. She realized what she had done once she gave the pill to me and she was signing off the binder. There was nothing to eat. And the staff didn't cook. I was told we would be made breakfast lunch and dinner and there was even a menu or schedule of meals posted on the fridge however the only time a meal was made was when a client made dinner for other clients. This is unacceptable because people coming down from drugs and or alcohol need nutrients and good meals to recover. Even if I wanted to make my own food I had to sift through half expired food. I drank expired milk while I was there. sick clients had to cook our own meals. Again the meds were a BIG issue because they had no formal medical training except a cert online and were distracted and made many mistakes with clients medication the short two weeks while I was there. The second day I was there I remember feeling terrible and the person let me pop my meds out and I'm an addict so of course I popped two instead of 1 ADIVAN out of the package and took them without the person "giving me the meds" noticing. Us addicts will come up with tricks so you need to administer meds and not let the client do it. I have trauma from this next issue with the rehab. It was a Friday April 4th at 7am ish and I had came in on Wednesday April 2nd approximately 3pm (hadn't been even 2 full days since my last fetty use). I was very upfront and honest and told them I was using up to 3 grams of fetty a day. That Friday less than 2 days since my last use another untrained employee came into my room and brought my meds to my bed as the withdrawals were just starting to set it. I was brought an 8mg suboxone film and while still half asleep not even 48 hours after I arrived the untrained employee put the sublingual film on my tongue. I went back to sleep (I am not new to suboxone, I took them for 3 years prior to coming into treatment)I woke up about 2 hours later dying of pain. I went into precipitative withdrawal brought upon by the nalaxone in the suboxone. They had to call an ambulance and I spent 5 agonizing days in Clovis hospital where they treated me like I was trash. I could not get a nurse to help me. I went # 2 in my pants and sat in it for 10 hours while in the worst pain in my life. I was alone and no one from Touchstone was there with me.....when THEY were the reason I went into precipitative withdrawal to begin with. They tried to say it's hard to tell when to give suboxone with fetty. Liar. I was just at a different rehab called Align in Sonoma Ca and they waited 4 days before they gave me MAT medication, then slowly gave me 1mg Subutex then an hour later gave me another 1 mg Subutex (no nalaxone in it) Then after making sure my body could handle it they gave me a full 8 mg Subutex to help with the withdrawals and then would eventually put me on suboxone (w/nalaxone). Kenny discharged me while still in detox w/out warning at 2am after administering 200mg of Seroquel, then lied about a CA law not letting me have subs to take home. They not only destroyed my prescription I brought in of subs but they also kicked me out by calling the cops because Kenny didn't want me to take a pic of the fridge in the shape it was in with expired food, hardly anything to eat no dates. Guess what Kenny I just brought home 19 day supply of Subs from Align Liar, he set me up to relapse, I should seek a lawyer and sue. U owe me $1300 I paid deductible. -Lynette

    Premium Urgent Care

TLDR: Dr Kerr and the staff at this urgent care are 10/10 fantastic, they are amazing!!!!…read more Firstly, I was shocked to find an urgent care that had such a high rating. Most medical facilities struggle to keep good reviews because lack of staffing cause long wait times and quick interactions. Secondly, I was shocked that the urgent care wasn't extremely busy and that I was brought into the back within 15 minutes of my arrival. Thirdly, I was so so IMPRESSED with how kind, and just happy my doctor was. I don't meet too many doctors who really strike a cord with me, but DR.KERR was genuinely just such a nice doctor. I was seen for a kidney infection, I knew the symptoms, had experienced them a year before, after a quick urine test he agreed. He said he'd prescribe a tablet to take once a day for 10 days, if I experienced fever to go to the ER. I asked if he knew how fast the CVS right next door would possibly fill that prescription (dumb question-that isn't something most doctors are really going to know, but I have word vomit sometimes) and he said it could take anywhere from an hour to longer. He asked if I ever used them before and I said no. He then said he wanted to give me an antibiotic shot that would at least cover me for 24 hours in case they didn't get the prescription filled that night, which was AMAZING. He didn't have to do that at all. I am so thankful that he did, though. CVS didn't get the prescription filled until late. I went to bed in a lot of pain due to the kidney infection, but that shot did it's job and by this morning I am as good as new!!!!! I'm still going to grab my prescription after work today, because following the treatment plan all the way through is how it gets fixed and doesn't just flare back up in a couple days, but I cannot express how fantastic Dr. Kerr and really ALL of the staff was.

We are new to the area, have scheduled doctors appointments with a family doctor and a GYN next…read moremonth to establish care. So being without a GP or GYN I came to this location because I feel like I have a kidney infection. The lack of any kind of attempt at human connection in this office is astounding. There's no one to help you with check-in, you're immediately pointed to a QR code where you fill out all of the paperwork yourself. Once the receptionist has that, she points you to a machine IN THE WAITING ROOM to get your vitals. Everything from weight and temperature to blood pressure and oxygen numbers is done by one of those machines you generally see at Walmart that you sit and put your arm in. WTF? That machine prints out a paper that you give to the receptionist. Because I was there thinking I have a kidney infection, she handed me a urine specimen cup, and told me to go into the bathroom, again, in the waiting room. A basket in the waiting room for the collection of your investments already had someone else's specimen in it. With their information on it. I'm sorry but HIPAA who? I then sat back down until called back to go to a room. A nurse didn't come in the room to talk to me or anything. I sent to room 3 to wait. I sat in my room for half an hour, listening to the full exam of a kid in the room next to me because the walls are really thin, before a doctor come in to tell me that because I drink a lot of water, my urine was clear... dilute ... and that it could be an ovarian cyst or even appendicitis, she doesn't know what's causing the pain in my lower back, that I should go to the emergency room to get imagining done and they could tell me what's causing the pain in my back around my kidneys and the malaise. So not only did I just pay my co-pay, but I was also charged an extra fee for urinalysis, something I've never had done before in any doctors office in my life. I walked out feeling like I just wasted my money and my time. If you've got something really simple like a sinus infection, I feel like this would be a good option. But for anything else? No... and now to the ER I go. UPDATE: I noticed the rebuttal the manager of the office posted below, and no, they are not telling the truth. There was a name, first and last name on that cup of urine that was sitting in the bathroom when I went in. And the person who went in after me had to look at my cup that had my first and last name on it as well as the previous cup. I'm not going to let them sit here and gaslight me

Lucky decision on my part! He took one look at me and quickly referred me for an UTS. When I called to confirm my appointment, I proactively offered to provide my new insurance details, and I was instructed to bring the card with me. However, upon arrival, I was informed that a new referral was required despite being an established patient with a point-of-service plan. What was most concerning, however, was the unprofessional conduct I encountered from the front office staff. From the moment I walked in, I was met with rudeness and a lack of knowledge regarding insurance procedures, which further complicated an already frustrating situation. Unfortunately, the office manager was not able to assist me in resolving the issue, and her attitude mirrored the unhelpful and dismissive behavior of the front desk team. Dr. Goswami is an excellent provider, and I have always appreciated his care. However, based on my experience, I believe the front office staff and management need to be addressed to ensure that patients are treated with the courtesy and professionalism they deserve!
