I am new to the area, and did an online search for a Dry Cleaner that was close to where I live. Carriage Cleaners came up, so I went to get my curtains cleaned. They were so patient with me as I explained what I needed and why and the did it for me quickly and at a very reasonable price. They were very Covid aware and wore masks. Carriage Cleaners - Was kinda hidden - Laundry Services Near Me - Lake Bluff, Illinois

If you are in the Lake Bluff/North Chicago area and need some dry cleaning done, do not use Carriage Cleaners. Last month, I had a shirt and a coat taken to them a week prior to an event that I needed the clothes for. When I picked up my clothes, the coat was burnt (identical brown streaks on both ends of the seam) and the pocket directly beneath the marks was ripped. I spoke to the owner about this and was offered no apology and they would not take responsibility but took care of it all the same. When I returned two days later, the marks were not gone and the employee told me that those must have been there when I dropped off the coat, which was brand new and never worn. After essentially being called a liar, I requested to speak with the owner for a refund. Unfortunately, the owner was not there, but I was told that I would be contacted by him on the phone. I was never contacted. TLDR; these people are dishonest and will take no responsibility for their mistakes. My biggest problem was this, as I completely understand that accidents do happen. read more

If I could give them negative stars I would. I had a wool sweater dry cleaned. When I took it out the dry cleaning bag there were large and small holes throughout the sweater. When I took it over to them to look at it they denied it and said moths ate my sweater. It was sealed in a bag and nothing else I own had holes throughout it. Do not use this business for your dry cleaning needs if you care about your items. read more

Top notch cleaning! After 30+ years, I finally found a really really good Dry Cleaner! I had to Yelp Carriage Cleaners because of all the bad cleaners that I've used over the years. Two bad ones in Libertyville, IL and two bad in Waukegan, IL. I got tired of notes, lost collar stays, lost shirts, and getting back dirty shirts (seriously)!
