I must make a complaint about the shop in Noordersingel 26, 2140 Borgerhout, Antwerp. The security manager or the manager (he didn't say) in this place is a horrible racist (or, as he openly and proudly admitted, a xenophobe). I parked my car to shop in the Carrefour and went in the supermarket. My friend had a small bag with some trash and brought it to the black trash containers in front of the supermarket, in order to leave it inside. The container were chained, my friend left the bag next to it. After a moment the manager went out like a fury to confront my friend. I saw the scene from the inside of supermarket. Once the guy returned inside I asked what the problem was. He started yelling that he was about to call the police and show them the pictures of my car since, according to him, I had been using the private parking of Carrefour abusively for 3 days, and he had recognized my Dutch plate and, on top of that, I was "throwing my trash in his courtyard". A bunch of lies, since I had just arrived with my car to shop and we just wanted to use a trash container. I apologized for my friend leaving the trash next to the container, we didn't mean any harm. Problem is, the guy doesn't let you talk, just wants to lecture you about how bad citizens we (foreigners) are, asking, all red in the face, "where do you come from?! Are you Dutch ? Are you Italian? You just come here to leave your trash!!" In short, a horrible little person which can't handle a misunderstanding and takes pride of being a xenophobe (read "racist"). He openly said that in front of my face and all the other customers of the Carrefour. On top of that I didn't like the menacing tone and the allegations he made, all false. And he also refused to give me his name while he had my plate number. The last thing he did was to yell again to go away, because he was in the lunch break, and violently slammed the door of his office in my face. I am surprised Carrefour is allowing such person to work with them. I would be ashamed and disgusted to have such a smug, arrogant and racist person to represent my company. I already posted this review to other social media and will not stop until Carrefour gives me a feedback or I receive official apologies. read more
