About a year ago the Delhaize received a facelift and is better than ever. Everything is organized and the aisles are wide. I love the large produce section. Be sure to sign up for a loyalty card - for every 2 euros you spend you receive a point and for every 500 points you receive a 5 euro bon. This might seem like it'd take forever, but there are always promotions for extra points. And once you've been shopping enough, you receive promotions in the mail chosen just for you!

The shelves are half empty, and it seems like the same products are repeated to create the ilussion of having more products than the ones that really are. In particular, I was very excited to drink some Snapple Apple - a product that you can find in every single store, gas station, supermarket, even liquor store in the whole country - just to find out that Grare American Foodstore does not sell it. I will probably not come back. I expecting much more from this place.

I was so happy to see almost every favorite of mine!! From Beer to Lawrys Seasonings to A1 Steak sauce! They even have laundry cleaning supplies!! Every soda you can imagine! The store is pretty tiny , but they have it all there! I was grabbing things of the shelves , with happiness, totally forgetting that i'm not in America, until I went to pay! Get ready, the prices are high, but, I say, its worth it!! Example ; 4 cans of Coors Light would be about 4 US Dollars , here , its costs 8 Euros!! Ill still be back!! Great store!! Great customer service as well!!

SPAR EXPRESS is a like the convenience stores back home where you can get some groceries, quick…read morefood and drinks. The store had different flavored chips like "New York Hot Dog" so we tried them or "crisps" and Evian water or beer too. We usually stop here when waiting for a train connection at the Antwerpen Central station. It's at the back of the station, so stop in and get some things for the trip on the train to Ghent or Brudges or on your way.
