Absolute professionalism and compassion found with Carpenter-Jenks. Chris walked me through every step and option throughout my experience and I couldn't be more thankful to have found him when I needed the support and direction to deal with the passing of a loved one at such an emotional time in my life. Chris went above and beyond my expectations to help me make cremation decisions, filing state paperwork, options to memorialize and even shipping cremated remains to out of state family as well as personally delivering to local family members on my behalf. The communication was fast, accurate, informative and confirmatory in nature. I greatly appreciate everything that Chris and Carpenter-Jenks have done for me and my family and highly recommend their services to anyone who inquired. read more

I attended a wake here recently for a lovely woman who passed much too young. The exterior landscape was tasteful and the interior was bright, airy and fresh. The staff was pleasantly unassuming but were instantly accomodating to those needing assitance by offering a kind word, seating or a tissue. The woman who passed was well-known to many children in my community and I appreciated the thoughtful placement of literature that offered support in answering children's questions about death. I never look forward to mourning someone's passing, but I do think that this funeral home did offer a facility and staff that supported a family in grieving a lost loved one. read more

We had my grandmother's funeral here today and the staff was amazing. They were attentive but gave us space, helpful, but not intrusive. We couldn't have asked for a better facility and nicer people to help us honor my grandmother. Jamie was especially wonderful. She took the time and care to learn all of our names and relationships so that she could offer personal condolences. She was so kind and respectful, I can't thank her enough for her warmth and professionalism!!! read more

At 66 years of age, I've been involved in the planning of more than a few funerals. It's never "easy" to do; all the decisions, the costs, the sadness, etc. Six months ago my brother passed and I was absolutely astounded - yes, astounded, by the professionalism, caring, and true compassion that was extended by the Carpenter-Jenks family, and in particular Chris. We had to keep the costs very low, yet Chris assured us that this services and proceedings would be dignified and appropriate. Well, they were far above expectations to say the least. Truly, this is a facility that not only talks the talk, but WALKS the WALK. Despite a person's circumstances, they deserve compassion and care during their final chapter. My brother (and our family) received just that. Thank you again Chris, and your staff, for being there and providing the assistance and services you did. read more

As a clergyperson from Rhode Island, I have experienced the details of services provided at numerous local funeral homes and I commend the Carpenter-Jenks staff for providing consistently excellent service. Here are three things that set them apart: 1. The facility is impeccable, including manicured grounds and a fresh interior that is classic but not dated. You know that funeral home smell? You won't find it here. 2. The staff knows the business, and conduct themselves with sincere compassion and care. Many families lose someone suddenly and in their grief, descend into conflict over how the details should be carried out. Others plan far ahead and leave very detailed instructions behind. Somehow the staff manages both with grace. 3. Flawless obituary preparation and an elegant website are assured. Nothing is more embarrassing than directing family and friends to an obituary on a website of cartoon images and banner ads - never at Carpenter-Jenks. How you handle making final arrangements and whether they are carried out well will set the tone for how you begin to grieve your loss. I can recommend Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home without reservation. read more

Having attended several funerals at Carpenter-Jenks, and seeing the pure compassion that the owners and staff showed to the families and everyone that attended, I knew that if it ever became my responsiblity to have to plan a funeral, this is where it would be. Unfortunately, this past August, my mother in law passed away. From that first phone call to the very last detail, the Carpenters were professional, compassionate, accomodating to all our wishes and concerned. They made us feel like we were the most important clients they had ever had. We all felt that they went way above and beyond to make a very painful time as comfortable and easy as possible. read more

As a 40 year old woman who lost her father to a brain tumor, planning his funeral service was the last thing I ever wanted to tackle. The Carpenter family was amazing, they know how much grief you are in and they support you in more ways than you even realize.
