I attended Kweller Prep from fourth to fifth grade, and it significantly shaped my academic life. I was accepted to HCHS after taking their Hunter Exam programs, and benefited significantly from the help I received at Kweller during that time. Now, I've come back to tutor at Kweller Prep-the families I work with, the students I teach, and the academic and personal improvement I see within each is a daily reminder of why I love the art of learning. I have Frances Kweller, Ben Davidov, and the whole team at Kweller to thank for everything.

I would not have done as comprehensive a job had I prepared him myself. Kweller provided the structure necessary to get the work done. The weekend check-in created a the deadline. We found the nightly homework more useful than the Zoom, but that could be individual preference. The homework helped highlight what areas my son needed work on. Also, it was helpful to have him practice sitting for a long test. It's not magic. It's practice, practice, practice. Don't expect a child to manage this by themselves. There was quite a bit of parental involvement until we were accustomed to the pacing and log-in. I'm happy we chose to use Kweller and I would use them again.

While the staff was pleasant, the young woman at the time I came appeared overwhelmed by the number of exam takers resulting in me starting my exam late. The private room provided also served as the staff kitchen. They were unprepared and scrambled to remove their items. The site is a good location but needs to get more organized to manage the flow. Try it out and tell me what you think!

Conveniently a block from the 67th Avenue station serviced by M and R trains. It is located on a residential block of co-op buildings and not easily noticed, but they make up for that with a street sign that is hard to miss. The testing site gets the job done with minimal frills. The check-in area is a dimly lit office that gets cramped quickly with more than a few people waiting. Amenities present: unisex bathroom, small lockers with locks, and water fountain. A single employee whisks you through the check-in (albeit in full view and hearing of anyone else waiting), gets a photo, sends you the couple steps to store all belongings (don't bring much, the lockers might fit a small backpack at most), then escorts you to your testing station. The testing room is small, with cubicles holding monitor, keyboard, mouse, earplugs, and noise blocking headphones. If ambient noise is distracting, use them. They helped, the air conditioning was rather loud and the room is small enough to amplify noise. The temperature was comfortable. The testing equipment was in great condition, and the actual test-taking experience was fine. Check out was quick. While not as comfortable an environment as others I've been in, this Brainseed location is good enough for test taking.

I asked him if I can come to his house during the day when we have breaks from school and he always kept denying it. I would hear him talk about people that went to his house giving good scores but If I asked to come he would deny.
