I visited this office for a routine dental prophylaxis (cleaning) and left extremely disappointed…read morewith the quality of care. What should have been a standard preventive cleaning turned into a painful and unnecessarily aggressive experience. During the procedure, there was significant pain and excessive bleeding, far beyond what is normal for a routine cleaning. Even more concerning, one of the fillings in my molar was pulled out during the cleaning, something that has never happened to me in any prior dental visit. At no point was there a clear explanation for the level of force being used, nor was my discomfort adequately addressed during the appointment. A routine dental cleaning should not result in pain, heavy bleeding, or damage to existing dental work. I have had many cleanings over the years, and this was by far the most uncomfortable and poorly handled experience. Based on what happened, I genuinely don't understand how this practice maintains such high ratings. Patients should not be expected to accept this level of care as normal. I would not return or recommend this office based on my experience.

I am decidedly not one, but that is exactly how they made me feel. I had already been a patient of Dr. Fordjour for fifteen years. Then the accident happened, and I saw what truly separates this practice from others. Over a weekend, Dr. Fordjour immediately coordinated with his internal team, brought in leading oral surgeons, gave me clear counsel, and helped move me into treatment. At a moment when I was dealing with pain, uncertainty, appearance, and cost, he gave me exactly what I needed: calm judgment, honesty, and a real plan. The most impressive part was not just the technical skill, although that was exceptional. It was the integrity. Every recommendation was direct, fair, and unbiased. He consistently guided me toward the most sensible and affordable path, not the most expensive one. His team matched that standard from start to finish. They were sharp, caring, cutting-edge, and deeply empathetic. Over a difficult year, they made a complicated process feel manageable and, at times, seamless. They cared about me as a person, not just as a dental case. Dr. Fordjour was available around the clock, checked in without being asked, and always made time to answer questions or settle concerns. If you want a dentist who is brilliant, honest, and genuinely in your corner, this is the one. I cannot recommend Dr. Fordjour and Washington Center for Dentistry more highly.

The office is easy to get to with plenty of street parking around. The office is very small, but clean. The staff at the front desk were friendly. I didn't wait very long to be brought back but the hygienist apologized for my wait. She was very kind and gave me information that was easy to understand and was very thorough. The Dr came in afterwards and let me know the procedures that I would need done, gave me timelines, asked to ensure my understanding and was extremely professional. I felt comfortable in their care from beginning to end and am happy that I came across the office. I'll be updating my review after my next visit in a week. Update: Went in for a deep cleaning with Heather. I had the best experience I could probably have at the dentist. Lol. The doctor came in to numb me up and he made sure I was okay all throughout the process. Stopping constantly to make sure I was okay and wasn't in any pain. Heather started and it all was over before I knew it. Didn't feel much. The only negative thing I have to say, and it could be big for some and if I was in a time crunch, is that it took an entire hour for them to start on me once I got in the chair. I didn't mind this time because they had a tv in the room and I got caught up in the show before I realized how long it had actually been. It that's a common thing, I don't plan to continue going, it did not however bother me much this visit. It is inconvenient though if you're scheduled for a specific time. An hour wait is unsatisfactory. I will be reducing from 5 stars to 4 because of this. I did feel very comfortable and knowledgeable about what was going on. Will update on my next visit if necessary.

Once I went to a different dentist and got X-rays done days later, they told me my teeth were perfectly fine. I don't appreciate being scammed seeing as I am hard working individual who just wanted to get a cleaning. Moving forward, I ask that this dental practice practice ethics and morals and focus less on scamming hard working individuals out of their money. VERY disappointing..

Dr. J is very informative and makes it a point to provide great service to her clients. She's also hilarious. The staff, ranging from dental hygienists, assistants to the ladies at the front desk, all provide good service as well. I always feel welcomed and they care about my concerns as well as make sure my teeth are in better shape than they were before my appointment. As for booking appointments, it's easy and not so stressful. I can always book an appointment that fits my schedule and if I need to make any change such as coming in earlier, they're willing to accommodate. Also, they have their own chapstick for you to grab when leaving the office! I look forward to getting one each time I visit. For some reason it just makes my visit a tad bit better.

I went home with way too much anesthetics injected into my mouth. It was numb for hours to the point I was drooling and really had to wait a long time to eat as I was warned that it could be dangerous to eat with a numb mouth in case I bit my cheek or something and couldn't feel it. I was so upset I never came back and wrote the previous review only to have someone from the clinic claim that I'm not even in their patient system. Really convenient. Fast forward more time - I receive an email reminder for an upcoming appointment and it says that I cannot email for cancelation and must call in. I called and they are closed on a Friday at 3pm. I did not make this appointment but clearly I'm in their system somewhere. This is ridiculous. I left a voicemail when prompted on the phone to state that I did not schedule this appointment and want it canceled. If I get charged for this, I'll be sure to challenge and escalate this.

Beyond Amazing!!! Dr. Schobel, Dr. Gialanella and their team are absolutely great…read more I have been working on my teeth with Dr. Schobel for about a year now and he was super patient as we went through my Invisalign journey. He is very detail and cared about my priorities. I tend to be a perfectionist so it took a bit longer than we initially expected, but he heard my very detailed concerns and always took action towards addressing them. My mom sees Dr. Gialanella. She has a complicated history of gingivitis that has cause other issues but she can't be in better hands. She has maintain her oral health and Dr. Gialanella referred her to other amazing specialists that helped taking care of the additional issues. I can go on and on about how great they are as professionals and humans. But, I want to dedicate a few lines to their staff who are equally awesome! From the front desk to their hygienists team you will be treated with so much kindness and care. They always have a positive attitude and a snail won't heir face. I would have let this go but a year and half later the terrible experience continues. The dentist I met with took images and then set up a remote consultation with me. She suggested that I needed $17,822 worth of work (6 crowns, 8 fillings, and at least 1 root canal) and that she should do all of this work, not an endodontist. When I expressed hesitancy, she told me that I needed to get started on the work right away, "or she would need to start pulling teeth." I sent the imaging and treatment plan to my oral surgeon, my orthodontist, and two DMV dentists. They all said that I didn't need the work recommended, and that getting it would do more harm to my oral health than good. I paid my bill, went to a new dentist, and moved on with my life. On March 15, 2022 I received a bill dated February 15, 2022 with no line items, for $500. I emailed the office, on the same thread we exchanged emails on in September 2020. They said that the reason the bill wasn't itemized "was due to the office sending you statements that received no response." I never received a bill by mail, email, or phone. They also said I was being billed because my dental carrier issued payment directly to me instead of to their dental office. My insurance has never paid me directly for anything, and I sent the office my dental EOB which show the negotiated rate and member responsibility. I work really hard, I pay my bills on time, and I try to take care of myself. I try not to write bad reviews for businesses because there is enough noise in the world. In this case, I'm so mad that I decided my experience was worth contributing to the noise.
