Once they realized I wasn't a customer, they left me on hold, only to say no they wouldn't be able to see me for weeks because the doctor was traveling. No relief doc, really? I won't be taking my pet there for checkups. That's for sure. Update. Read the manager 's reply and then my other reviews. This reply illustrates exactly who they are. The manager attacks my character, calling me negative, without knowing me at ALL. She didn't read my reviews because I rarely give a negative review, but hundreds of people have read and appreciated my honest reviews. Don't trust your pets with them.

She truly cares about your pets and she's affordable. I had an elderly lab named Shadow who passed away from cancer at 13, and Dr. Foley and her team were all crying with my boyfriend and I because they truly cared about him. They helped us get him cremated, they took care of the entire process. I just love them. And when I had a feral mama cat and her babies show up at my house, I trapped them all and she spayed, neutered and vaccinated them all for a reasonable price. We rescued another lab mix named Luke who had been through a lot of trauma and has PTSD. Dr. Foley helped us treat him with calming treats and she gave us advice on how to help him acclimate to his new life. He's now one of the best dogs ever! We will always take our pets to Dr. Foley and her team for any of their needs.

I called 4 vets and no one could get me in and I was trying to avoid going to an emergency vet due to the expense. When I called Swift Creek the person I spoke with said they were pretty booked but that she would see what they could do for me and my dog. She came back in a couple of minutes and said they could get me if I could come in soon. I drove Buu straight there and they got us in. There was nothing serious but they gave him an injection that really helped him. He slept through the night and the next day no more vomiting. The price was a lot less than an ER vet. These people really care and they understood how important my Buu is to me! You deserve that kind of care and so does your pet! If I am ever back in Raleigh, I will find a reason to drop in!

He's recently developed some anxiety around vet visits, as a lot of pets do, but, with a little encouragement from me and the staff, he is usually able to make it through his visits and be fine. Unfortunately during our past couple appointments, the vet seemed to have very little time or patience for him, creating a stressful and unproductive experience for me and my dog. I understand that everyone has a job to do, but I'd rather take my baby somewhere with vets who are happy and willing to take the little bit of extra time to give him the care he needs and try to create a better experience for him. Sedatives are great for pets having a hard time, but I was made to feel like they wanted to sedate my pet as to not have to spend any amount of time making him feel comfortable and safe.

They assured me they were routing procedures. That was a Monday, and Friday morning I found him dead. I was in CONSTANT text communication with them, brought Bruno in on Wednesday as his stitches were dark purple and leaking fluid, brought him in on Thursday as he seemed to rapidly decline. I told them to do WHATEVER they needed to NO MATTER THE COST. They assured me my baby would be ok. Caylee kept saying he was "fine" and "just a sensitive boy". He was in their care all day Thursday for fluids and when we picked him up that evening he could barely walk without panting and plopping down every few steps. AGAIN, she said he was "a sensitive boy and just a little inflamed." She ran blood tests and said his white blood cell count was low but that it was normal and that he was AGAIN "SENSITIVE". They wanted me to bring him back in on Friday for more fluids for another full day. After my husband stayed up till around 4:30am, watching him. I woke up at 7:40am and found him dead in his crate with blood and fluid coming out of his belly. I screamed and pleaded for him to wakeup, his belly still warm but his body stiff. I called Clayton Animal Hospital and they just said sorry and sent over 2 vet techs who grabbed him out of the crate to bring to my car to transport to Rollins Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory for Necropsy. Necropsy results said he hemorrhaged and had SEVERE inflammation, essentially dying from SEPSIS. He had muscle NECROSIS. aka his muscle tissue was DYING. He was in their care MONDAY, WED, all day THUR and all signs that he was septic were missed. He had stopped EATING and DRINKING since TUESDAY and CAYLEE CUPPERNULL said and I quote "I don't feel like eating when I have the flu either, he is just a sensitive boy". I have talked to other people who have also lost their pets at the hands of this hospital. I am BEGGING you, do not take your animals here for any major surgery, they will KILL your beloved pet. This place is disgusting and unsanitary. FUN FACT: Caylee Cuppernull never even reached out to apologize or show remorse. I NEVER heard from her ever again and all anyone else could say was "so sorry we don't know how this could have happened". I loved this dog with all my heart and soul. He was THE SWEETEST boy ever, so gentle and full of love with his large paws. I just wanted the best for him and I feel like a failure as a dog parent. Bruno trusted me blindly and I put my trust in this hospital just to lose my fur baby who should have had 5+ more years ahead of him.

After my member discount I paid 60 dollars for an antibiotic! And they are always trying to force me into paying for things that are not needed or wanted. Most of the staff is great and treats my dog wonderfully. But I've had a couple bad experiences that have stuck with me. Once when a nurse came in my dog hit her head on the leg of the table in her excitement to go see her(she was only 5 months) and the nurse laughed and said "well shes not the brightest crayon in the box is she?" We spend a lot of time training our very intelligent dog and this lady told me my dog was stupid right to my face, I was not happy to say the least. Then I love most of the vets there they always tell me how sweet and loving my pup is but I got this one who I swear acts like she hates animals. She acted super annoyed with my dog. She was bothered by the fact that she jumps, shes a 5 month old boxer and any good vet we've seen said they expect nothing less of her. I have to take my pup soon to get spayed. While they were telling me about what's going to happen that day they let me know that the sedative that they use to keep the animals calm during that stressful time may not be safe for my boxer, in boxers it may cause an unsafe drop in blood pressure that could kill them. Then they tell me that they only cover the one sedative and if I don't want to take the risk I would have to pay another 35 dollars for a safe sedative. As a veterinarian I think they should have the animals well being in mind, they should cover the safe sedative because they want to make sure that they have my dogs best interest in mind. I will of course be paying the extra 35 dollars, I love my dog and would not risk her life, but I'm disappointed that Banfield doesn't care.

However at this location, one of my dogs is scared to even step foot into the parking lot, I have to pick her up to bring her inside and my other dog at one of his visits had apparently gotten a little aggressive with one of the workers, mind you he has NEVER been aggressive with a human, he loves all people but whatever had happened at one of the past visits had obviously traumatized them. Also, if the vets try to talk you into getting medication for your dog, look into Chewy pharmacy, they will have the same medicine for wayyyy cheaper than what they tell you at the store.

Dr. Gibbs dismissed our worries, refusing immediate UTI treatment and insisting on waiting for test results. Without discussing risks or complications, he administered four vaccines, including Leptospirosis and Rabies--a combination we later learned is non-standard and has increased risks of a vaccine reaction, especially for a puppy with a potential infection. Minutes later, our puppy developed angioedema and a severe allergic reaction on her abdomen. The tech was in the room and said Dr. Gibbs would be in after he was done with another patient. She downplayed the severity of the situation by stating "it is no big deal and if it was she would go get Dr. Gibbs immediately out of the other room". Dr. Gibbs came in laughing and instead inappropriately discussed a case where there was a cat that this happened to that died within 5 minutes. He took our puppy back to treat, had us wait there, and then her symptoms were worsening. He tried to send us home and was downplaying her symptoms, forcing us to demand further treatment to prevent anaphylaxis. His reluctance nearly cost her life. He also refused a broad-spectrum antibiotic for the UTI, falsely claiming an ultrasound and cystocentesis were the only diagnostic options, which seemed like an upsell for pricier procedures and admitted that we would think he was a "quack doctor". We later learned a simple urine sample could have sufficed. His delays prolonged our puppy's discomfort. We questioned him about epinephrine potentially. He snapped back in a very rude tone "Why would I give her epinephrine", which just added to our frustration of his lack of empathy throughout the entire encounter. Additionally, their office manager said they had no responsibility in any of this despite the fact she wasn't even present in the building when this happened. Additionally, she was giving medical advice over the phone with no medical degree and got into a screaming match with us. She was so unprofessional and her lack of empathy was disgusting after what we went through the night before. This incident caused our puppy a life-threatening reaction, prolonged her UTI suffering, and left us with significant emotional and financial stress from extra treatments and tests. Dr. Gibbs' poor communication, unprofessional behavior, and inadequate care shattered our trust. This office as a whole is so unprofessional, covers up bad choices, and is most interested in how much financial gain they can get- not about your beloved pet. We STRONGLY advise AGAINST this veterinary practice.
