No one answers the phone, when they do, they are at best confused and at worst, rude. I made an appointment for a sports physical for my son. They called days later to ask if I wanted to cancel. Nope, still want the appointment. She said she'd call back to let me know. Let me know what? I still want the appointment... She said, well, let me check. I'll call you back? Check what?? I want the appointment. Never heard back from them. I made an appointment at CVS minute clinic for the physical. Also, went here a couple of years ago for a son that had Severs (growth plate issue) figuring they'd be familiar (Sports Medicine). They had never heard of it and diagnosed him with plantar fasciitis. Went to emerge Ortho and got him a cast. Save your time/money and go elsewhere. read more

I was supposed to be the new incoming patient, but the person over the phone, I think he's the receptionist couldnt put me in the right schedule. I was on hold for 15 minutes, unacceptable so I hung up, then I called back if Im set. He put me to the scheduler and she's the one calling the shots of the days I should come. No thanks, there's other plenty urgent care out there. Please be understanding in people's schedule and not dictate what day they should come. Bye felicia! read more

My husband and I brought our son here after hurting his ankle during a Saturday morning soccer game. We looked online and the weekend hours listed were 8-5 on Saturday and Sunday with no appointment necessary. When we arrived around 1:00, the parking lot was empty and the open sign was off. We walked up to the entrance and there was a sign that said masks were required and to call for assistance. I called the number on the sign and it rang around 6-7 times. As I was calling, a younger woman with dark hair and glasses came to the door, opened it partially and asked rudely if she could help us. I was thrown off by her attitude, but told her that my son was hurt playing soccer and needed to be seen if possible. She then asked rudely, "Do you have an appointment?!" I was shocked by her nastiness given that it is an 7-day sports medicine urgent care and replied with the same attitude that the website said we didn't need an appointment. She said "It's COVID, things change! I don't know why it's not on the website!" She went on to ask if we had been here before (no) and his name and insurance to see if they take it. She went back inside to check and then said we could come back at 3:30. We went back to the parking lot and decided to cancel the appointment because of the awful experience. When we called the number on the website (the one we would have called to MAKE the "required appointment") there was no answer and a message that their hours had temporarily changed and they would open at 12pm. I called the number on the door again and it rang 8 times before getting the same message. Horrible experience, never returning, would not recommend, zero stars. read more

I had 2 of the worst experiences I remember at this place. The "manager" us as rude as any person I've ever met. Unprofessional in every level. The front desk man is useless, didn't even know what insurance they take. I got there about 4:00 Friday due to a bad fall. I left about 7:30. I do not believe there was another patient there. I was told to fill out paperwork in car which I did. i wore a mask, none of the 3 working there did. After finally in a room, front desk man takes BP and pulse and discusses my manicure and pedicure. Practitioner comes in and looks at my bruises etc and says they need to X-ray wrist and chest. After at least an hour the "manager" gets me and X-rays wrist. Says "ok" and i tell her chest was to be Xrayed . She said "oh" and walks out. Comes back and does chest. I go back to my room. they say X-rays are being sent to be read. After a considerable amount of time in my room I step out and ask practitioner how long I can expect to wait. She callers me around desk to show me X-rays and gives me her take. I finally sa I need to leave about 7:30. Both the practitioner and front desk man tell me to be back Sunday at noon to see a doctor. Friday night late the practitioner called me and said she had talked to doctor and he said they would have a liability if my wrist was fractured and they didn't treat and once again told me to be there at noon Sunday. I was. Doors locked. At about 12:20 the "manager " opened door and peeked out and asked me if she could help me. Told her I had noon appt. Her reply " you do NOT have an appt". Very nasty tone. Told her I did and again I got the same reply. I told her not only did they tell me Friday to be back at noon Sunday but was confirmed Friday night when practitioner called. She said. "Well your appt is canceled". I had some choice words for her which she deserved. It's a crying shame this place sees patients. It's even worse to employ such a hateful person who has no people skills at all. My assumption is the doctor didn't show up, so that liability must not have been too important. Stay tuned. This place is a joke. Do not go....ever!! read more

By far the worst experience I've had at an urgent care. I had an appointment but still waited an hour to be let inside. They were "filing insurance" all this time only to tell me I had to pay a copay $175. I have never had an issue with my insurance at any other urgent care or doctors office. Talked to a male receptionist over the phone who was extremely nice but the lady I saw today was rude. FastMed is far better than this place with a friendly staff. Do not go here. read more

Always a pleasant experience, the staff while I see new faces when I go in they always all seem to have the same happy and amazing personality. The staff is super nice and very kind. I'd definitely recommend this urgent care to anyone who wants quick efficient staff and service!!! read more

Went here for an issue with my finger that needed draining. The wait was a bit long but worth it for having such a dedicated staff (and they stayed late just to help me!!). I do not do well with needles but staff were not rushing me and doing everything to make sure I was comfortable. There is a very strong feel of teamwork among staff in this office. Dr. Ferro and nurse Sindia went out of their way to create a great environment. Very pleased!! Worked very well with my insurance to keep costs to a minimal on my end as well, always a big plus! read more

I went in with my daughter and was told it would take 30 minutes. I filled out all the pile of paperwork, gave my license, and insurance and all the other hoops. After 45 minutes I had to take my son to to a lesson. I told the receptionist that I had to leave and she said it was fine. Then my daughter called and told me they wouldn't see her without me! So I had to go back and they STILL weren't ready for her. They enjoyed playing these games with me and making me jump through hoops but still wouldn't see her. AWFUL experience and a complete waste of time. read more

Dr Ferro and the entire staff are the most attentive and compassionate practice we have ever been to. We have never felt as welcome and cared for by any other healthcare facility as we do with them. The entire office from waiting room to the examination rooms are magnificent. It is the cleanest and most amenity filled office we have visited. Dr. Ferro is the most kind and outstanding Doctor we have ever seen.When there is a need for health care there is no where else I would ever go on any occasion. read more

Unfortunately, the hours posted do not match up with hours open. First appt. was great with the exception of one person who was downright rude. I mentioned it to the doc and he said she was overworked and tired From doing x-rays. My second appt. was scheduled on a Sunday at 11:00 as same Ortho doc who put my cast on would be there. Even received an email confirmation. Sat in parking lot over an hour and tried to call numerous times but phone just rand and rang. Doors were locked and lights off. Doctor arrived 2 hours later without apology, spent less than 4 minutes with me, and said to make another appt. Multiple messages left on their phone as I needed a third appt. to get my cast off. No one returned my call for over 10 days. I received a call in the evening of 12/23 saying I could come in the morning. Meanwhile, I was able to get into Ortho place in Wilmington to get my leg cast off. The girl on the phone just said "bye" after I told her...no "I'm sorry", nothing. Sent a 2 page letter with specific examples of first and second visit but no one ever responded. read more

Have been to a few urgent care facilities over the years but this one was absolutely the best. While on vacation in NC I injured myself so headed to Carolina Care. I was attended to from the moment I walked in with my aching back/neck, to the moment I left feeling reassured that I had received an accurate diagnosis, treatment and care instructions. Dr. Ferro and his staff were very knowledgeable, but most importantly, they listened and showed a level of care and warmth that is normally lacking in urgent care facilities. I wish there was a zero stars option. I was extremely dissatisfied with the care I received. I was billed after being told my insurance would be accepted. I called multiple times to follow up and my calls were never returned. When I was finally put in touch with Marisa, she was very rude, had a sour attitude and didn't offer much help. I was told I was not permitted to speak to the doctor at all, period. Working in the healthcare industry, I would never speak to a patient the way I was spoken to. I will never return. read more

Since this office will not call me back regarding why I was not offer the option to not file a claim with my insurance and pay $90, instead my insurance paid $242 and I get the balance of $156. Apparently it's much more profitable for them to not offer this to patient that have insurance. When I called them after seeing this option on their web-site and asking "so someone with insurance is charged more than someone without" she snickered with a yes I guess. Even worst I went back 4 days later due to a allergic reaction and was charge the same fees again plus an add'l $120 to give me a shot of Benadryl ($60 for the med & $60 to have her administer) but they forgot a fee on my initial visit of $250 so added it to my second. This is why our insurance rate are so high, so us that pay a stupidly ridiculous month premium now get to pay this higher fees when we have a visit. So my ear infection was over $1,000 in fees, never saw a doctor and costs me $357 and my insurance paid 712... still waiting for that call back I guess that says it all. read more
