Service was cordial and super friendly! The ambiance was a bit dark, but with our cell phone lights, we were able to see the menu and order. We arrived early, so dinner was largely just US... which was very nice! I totally recommend this delicious restaurant!

This is a restaurant located inside the JW Marriott hotel. The restaurant recently opened but when…read morewe were there in December 2022 they told us that it was more of pre-opening and they were still making changes to the menu. There was no kid menu when we were there but there will be one, so we just described what we wanted and they made it. We were here for dinner on our last full day in Cancun. It was an excellent experience. The inside of the restaurant is simply gorgeous. The ambience feels like real Mexico and is very inviting. It feels upscale. The menu had very small print and the restaurant is dark so we had to pull out our phones and turn on the flashlight, we saw other customers doing the same. In fact, when we had a question about the menu our server also pulled out his flashlight. He said the new menu would have larger print and be easier to read. The food is upscale and sophisticated. There are different categories on the menu: tapas, salads and soups, appetizers, main courses (called long plates), paella, and pastas. There were also cheese and meat plates where you choose what you want. This was genuine, non-Americanized food so much was not familiar to me. I started with the chicken fritters which was about the only thing I could identify with. They were light and not greasy, sort of like a small hushpuppy. I liked them. The wife started with a fennel salad and really liked it. For entrees, the wife had the lamb chops and loved them. She said it was the best lamb she ever had in her life. I had bite and although I am not usually not a lamb fan, the meat was very tender and did not taste like lamb at all. I had garlic shrimp and it was outstanding. Simple, yet elegant. There were 10-12 good sized shrimp in a delicious garlic sauce. I was stuffed at the end. Both the wife and I had a side order of asparagus and it was cooked perfectly. The kid had pasta and she and the wife shared some kind of chocolate dessert. The meal was over $200 but worth every penny. It was one of the best meals we had in Cancun and a perfect ending to a fantastic vacation. We will return for sure. I think this restaurant will be very successful.

They have a bar food menu, and on Sunday had a nicer expanded dinner menu. Nice sandy bar/lounge area. The beach isn't great - weedy and rocky so not great for swimming. We picked this place because of their Sunday night beach party. Sadly - while the beach party was well attended by lots of attractive people drinking happily, but I'm not understanding the earsplitting loud techno music that played until about 3 in the morning. At some point enough is enough. I was hoping for some latin music, maybe some chill music as the party got going......the music was like one long loud annoying song. The other nights we were there, also techno music just not as loud. Ever hear of latin music?

I have never had a ribeye with less fat. If not for the menu I would guess it was a filet mignon and not ribeye. I am not a filet mignon fan and even if I were I would prefer such a lean cut rare to medium-rare rather than the medium to medium-well of this cut. This much said service is exceptional and the complementary appetizer the kitchen sent out was quite good. The guacamole we ordered for an appetizer is pretty good though I wasn't fond of the tortilla chips.
