UPDATED REVIEW: As I said before, 'thoroughly review the…read morework contract' with this guy. On the phone, I asked for a "total cost" of the job...total cost means TOTAL, as in no other charges will be added. So, he quoted something over $7000 as the total, and since we had already discussed the job, I simply signed the contract. AFTER signing the contract, I found out there was a separate charge to flush the lines to the tune of $975. Just flushing water thru the lines...$975, and he isnt even paying the water bill. The camera charge of $325 simply to view my sewer lines...is it a golden camera? And the cost to dig up the basement and install a fiberglass inner pipe to the cracked older pipe of $7025 So, the total was in reality $8325. Then he held onto my checks for over a month. Close to two months. I texted him to cash the checks or the money was going back to my savings. So, of course two weeks after my text, he tries to cash the checks, resulting in an ISF for the $7025. He "just texted me," demanding i write a 'new check' for another check for $7025 or he will see his attorney, as a matter of a fact, I think I'll see mine. But thats pretty damn slick, that would be $14050 if I actually wrote a second check for $7025 If a check comes back ISF, the bank will run that check again (redeposit it), that is common practice. Redeposit the check Clyde...you aint getting paid twice. And, as I said, your experience with this guy is irrelevant to my experience. Companies often see an easy mark in older women, who are single and have no male presence in the house....so if he was good with you, that has zero to do with my experience. women beware.

Noel, not only knows everything about the material he buys, he also has his wife side by side to care daily for their business and customers. The treatment they give us, being suppliers is amazing. We consider them friends and not a customer. We say they are our Preferred friends. When delivering material to Preferred, we know we can only send the best because they won't take any lesser quality. Preferred has always honor our company and people with love and respect. We have more than 150 customers we work with and Preferred is one of our favorite (Preferred;)to work with (note on the side, we send our trucks 4 hours away each way just to serve them). Thanks Noel and Bradley for all these years doing business with us!!!!!

(March 2023) Avoid this business by all means. Purchased parts & labor in excess of $700.00 which…read moreonly to learn later that Ken Hardesty would not take the parts back. He preformed no diagnostics on my washing machine however he stated that he knew 100% what the problem was from his BS line of working for Sears and he was very familiar with this brand as he serviced many of the same machines. In addition, when he removed the top control board, he used a screwdriver to pry it off causing exterior damage to the washer. He stated that it was the only way to get access to the clips holding the board in place. When I confronted him via text of the damage he had done, the guy flipped out and acted like a young child who didn't get his own way. He went on to tell me that once the new control board was installed that it would cover the gouges he created and also that there was a paint that could be used. In addition, he was very wrong when he told me it was the only way to remove the control board. It's been nothing but a very bad experience with this business from start to finish. Also, I would like to add that he wanted me to tell my homeowners insurance company that experienced a power outage that fried the 2 control boards. I told him that I'll have to get the date of the power outage from this past summer but he said that we had to make it look like the power outage surge had recently happened and that he'll have to "fudge" the dates. I requested an itemized receipt which Ken Hardesty never provided to me. There's more to this horrific experience that I won't get into right now. Do yourself a big favor and never do business with this guy. I wouldn't even let him change batteries in a flashlight for me. He was never able to repair the machine and made out like a bandit with what he charged me for parts. Shame on you Ken Hardesty!! (Note: The parts from Amazon are brand new parts...not refurbished)
