Have not been here in years. My 1st time here was back in 2007 right before CARLS moved into the New facility. I went with a group of buddies after Working a 5:3Pm - 1Am shift, and had a decent to good time. I went again later but by then CARL had the New Facility and more space. The Lady I used to especially visit and go to see, was Cindy. Beautiful, Slim and pleasant to Talk to and chill with. I last got dances from her at Louies Bar Just South on Mannheim and Lake St. I recently Left Illinois to move back to Southern California, but before Leaving, I Stopped in to Louies Bar to see if she was still there, around Late 2022 early 23, but to my Surprise the Dance Bar changed and became only a Bar. For the sake of the nice, young women here, I should give this place five stars *evil laugh* but I'll just be totally honest...... Where do I start? Carl's is in Stone Park, meaning - you shouldnt go 3mph over the speed limit or you WILL get pulled over, especially at the late hours of the night/wee hours of the morning that you might be prowling around at Carl's. :-) The place is in a small complex, that you just might miss, if you are doing that 3mph over the speed limit. Parking is very tight. Although there is a parking lot, the space is not that forgiving, however there is parking available in the adjacent lot. Carl's itself? *evil laugh again* I've always paid about $5 to get in, if it ever was anything more, I was too inebriated to remember. Security at the door are off-duty officers and they are pretty awesome. Inside, the place is actually pretty huge: six pool tables, huge bar area, upstairs lounge area, which allows plenty of places to get "dances." The drinks are potent. Try the jungle juice - I promise it will have you (male or female) thinking you are sexier than the female dancers in there! The music is provided by a jukebox which can get annoying since you have to listen to EVERYONE'S choice of music. It can be a total drag. I will advise you to watch your belongings! I know one of the workers there that had a man stumble into the bathroom, take her wallet, took most her her belongings and what he didnt want, he dumped in the toilet. Also, as in any typical bar, the men-folk (ladies arent crazy for once) drink the courage juice and can get a testy of one another. All in all, its an okay joint. It's actually a funny story but one night, being an out of towner we were driving around looking for a bar after midnight. Unfortunately, I am able to leave a review about Carl's Lounge. I was dragged here with friends after a pretty fun night bar hopping on Madison St. in Oak Park. While on our way home, my friends decided they weren't ready to go home, and we stumbled upon the horrorshow that happened to be Carl's Lounge. I had no idea what to expect, as I've never heard about it; and I now know why. Carl's Lounge is an "adult entertainment" bar/lounge. The place is actually pretty big; tall ceilings throughout, two floors, two separate bars, many tables/booths, and a half dozen pool tables. The problem is, well, everything else. The crowd is much older, which is fine, but they were clearly unwelcoming to our younger group; which makes sense considering we weren't "regulars" and were easily spending the most money out of any group there. Anyways, there are 10-15 "dancers" that walk around the lounge in bikinis & lingere. Typically I'd be right on board and leading the pack, full steam, tunnel vision, ready to "make it rain" as soon as I walk in... this wasn't the case. Alright I'm aware that this isn't an exotic dance club, and the women aren't supposed to be strippers, but when you portray it to be that way, then women should at least live up to expectation. A couple of the women clearly recently gave birth, one of them were missing teeth, a handful were slightly overweight. I mean, come on! Yet guys were actually paying the $20 for dances from the women, but the catch is (as if bad looks wasn't a catch enough) that the dances aren't private. You sit right there in the middle of the bar or wherever you're seated, and they give a "dance" in front of about another 100 men. Who wants to pay for that? Within five minutes of walking through the freakshow, I lost my blissful buzz that I worked so hard to get earlier in the night. There was a $5.00 cover, not sure why. When we were at the bar at the top of the stairs, I ordered a drink, and the bartender said she'd get it after she takes a cigarette break. Carl's Lounge in Stone Park is an interesting hybrid of a bar, pool hall, and Gentleman's club! One of the things I like about Carl's Lounge is its discreet name, which makes it sound like an average run of the mill bar. Even when you walk in you see a bar with bar stools, lots of tables for drinking, a jukebox, and pool tables. Depending on when you go, there may be a $5 or $10 cover charge. However, what makes Carl's different than an average run of the mill bar is all the beautiful exotic ladies that pay to work there and do table dances in the back of the bar, and upstairs as well on the weekends. Most of the ladies are from Colombia and Ecuador, but there are some American and European ladies as well. There is no nudity, but the ladies wear sexy lingerie. The dances are $20 per song, and some ladies will do 2 for $30. They are full contact lap dances on your bar stool, or chair if you go upstairs. They are definitely not private dances though, and everyone in your area can see. However, at least you can see how another girl dances if you are interested later. The drinks are fairly priced, and they have daily drink specials. Bottled water for $2, beers are $3-$5, mixed drinks and shots around $7-$9. While not required, knowing a little bit of Spanish at least would be helpful in getting to know some of the beautiful South American ladies who are not 100% fluent in English. Bartending and entertainment at Carl's is great. I use to like going there. But now and then about a month at a time the bouncers charge cover 3 nights a week, then 4, then 5.... then I went back on a Tuesday I remembered having no cover but the place wanted to charge me to get in. I told the bouncer to tell the owner he was selfish, not politely. The bouncer lashed out at me instead of agreeing that a nightly cover charge was out of line and disrespectful, but instead "that's business man" also calling me, their potential customer, a prick. I feel sorry for the entertainment and bartending staff at Carl's because Carl has become very greedy. Changes in policy are due. A chance at redemption... This place was HORRIBLE!! we drove 35 minutes to get here from down south to go to this place. As soon as we start walking up to the place, this bouncer guy said he ain't having none of this crap. I was with two black guys. He let's us in, we go sit down at the bar, and we have a 3 dollar patron shot. (which was decent) and then we decide to go play a game of pool. Which costs a dollar fifty. I put my first quarter in, and before we could even put the other ones in, the guy comes and kicks us out because he went to grab change our his pocket and hits boxers were showing a little bit.. Tells us to leave. Talk about discrimination. DO NOT GO TO THIS BAR!!! They are horrible, and everything is over priced other than the special shots of the day.
