Carl's Jr.... They do have a few here in New Zealand. They're everywhere in America. This place made sure to let you know that Carl's Jr is America's favorite burger, and that it was American. Writing on the walls, big map of the states, surfing and motorcycle videos occasionally interrupted by Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood music videos. Pretty much captured the America vibe. Congrats! Tbh, New Zealand folks like this place more than Americans I think. Place was packed.
Food is pretty much the same. They have fries, fries with chili, your typical Angus burgers and specialty burger items that in reality are just in disguise on the menu and not special at all. So someone at Carl's Jr thought.. Hey this location is in New Zealand and In N Out is all the way out on the west coast of the USA. Let's imitate a double double and pass it off as a California Burger Deluxe. Well for a native living here that's fine, they wouldn't even care, it's something new for them. But one of my friends got one, I had a taste. No.... Not even close.. And what's up with fast food menu pictures? I read somewhere it can take up to 4 hours to take 1 photo. Think of the biggest lie you've been told by an ex, your current partner, your 4th grade teacher who told you cursive would be useful, Donald Trump.. Now compare a burger from a fast food joint to the photo on their menu, that's the biggest lie. Ok fine, I think Donald Trump wins. Burgers look so sad, depressing when you get them. And most all are guilty of this not just these guys. But, the taste is great so I forgive them for it. Except the double dou.. I mean California Burger Deluxe. Stop it. You stop that right now. Stick to BBQ Angus burgers. You're good at that. Btw burgers range from 8 - 13 NZD. So price is similar to the states.
It's fast food guys. It's quick and easy. They still deliver your food to you are this location. Tastes great. If I could describe the flavor of heart disease this would help explain. But it's fine. I'm there because I don't want to cook and don't feel like eating out gourmet. read more
