The hotel I was at had no availability and was only a 50 or 75 minute massage with a pretty steep price. I get massages quite frequently and prefer a deep tissue 90 minute massage. I did a search and this company came up. It was only a short distance from the hotel and the price for 90 minutes was in the range I am accustomed to. (Prices are listed on the website) It is a husband and wife team that do this as a 2nd career. Despite no reviews I decided to take a chance. I spoke with the husband, Reed and set a time for the next day. The office is located in what was once probably a motel. There were a number of business offices. Quintessential Bodyworks has a small outer waiting area and a very nice, peaceful massage area. I explained to Reed what I was looking for and to make this short, I was very pleased with the work he did. He listened and only asked to let him know if the pressure was ok, too much or too little. They offer a number of techniques and Reed said his wife was better than he. So, if you are up in that area and want a good massage for a reasonable (in my world) price, give them a call.

I showed the stylist a photo of the blonde look I wanted and specifically asked several times to be lightened and made blonde again, similar to Reese Witherspoon. Despite this, she chose a dark color and did not apply foil highlights as stated in my appointment. I was assured my hair would be blonde, but after washing and drying, my hair turned out brown. When I said this was not what I requested and asked for it to be corrected, I was told the stylist could not come in when I was available and could not fix it. During the hair wash, my shoulder was hit very hard on the table, leaving me with a large bruise. In addition, the nail service was poorly done. I had to file my own nails because the technician did not know how to shape them properly, and she was unable to complete a simple white heart design, wiping it off multiple times before giving up. My husband contacted the manager, Sara, and was told that I chose the dark color on camera. This is false. I was clear that I wanted blonde foil highlights. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of honesty, accountability, and apology from management. While I was refunded for the hair color, this does not make up for the poor service, physical injury, and emotional distress caused by this experience. I am in my 50s and have never experienced anything like this at a salon. If management had been sincere and apologetic and offered to correct the work, this complaint would not be necessary. A professional would have given a formal response, an apology, and a resolution that reflects the seriousness of this situation. I did not care about the money--I simply wanted my hair done correctly and to be treated with respect.
