On Wednesday, February 10, I had an extremely upsetting experience at Sheer Destiny Salon. This appointment was a Valentine's Day gift from my husband and was meant to include foil highlights, hair color, and nails. I showed the stylist a photo of the blonde look I wanted and specifically asked several times to be lightened and made blonde again, similar to Reese Witherspoon. Despite this, she chose a dark color and did not apply foil highlights as stated in my appointment. I was assured my hair would be blonde, but after washing and drying, my hair turned out brown. When I said this was not what I requested and asked for it to be corrected, I was told the stylist could not come in when I was available and could not fix it. During the hair wash, my shoulder was hit very hard on the table, leaving me with a large bruise. In addition, the nail service was poorly done. I had to file my own nails because the technician did not know how to shape them properly, and she was unable to complete a simple white heart design, wiping it off multiple times before giving up. My husband contacted the manager, Sara, and was told that I chose the dark color on camera. This is false. I was clear that I wanted blonde foil highlights. I am extremely disappointed by the lack of honesty, accountability, and apology from management. While I was refunded for the hair color, this does not make up for the poor service, physical injury, and emotional distress caused by this experience. I am in my 50s and have never experienced anything like this at a salon. If management had been sincere and apologetic and offered to correct the work, this complaint would not be necessary. A professional would have given a formal response, an apology, and a resolution that reflects the seriousness of this situation. I scheduled a "spa day" for myself, hair, nails, and massage. The hair wash and trim were fine and the massage was absolutely wonderful!!! The manicure, my first ever (I am 72 years old), seemed good, but the polish started peeling off before I even got home. By the next day, it had all peeled off. Not sure what happened with that. Otherwise, it was a good experience, and I will definitely go back for massages. Nice people - I was treated well. read more

I had Jocelin who brought me from a washed out brown back to my natural blonde and I have NEVER been happier. Jocelin is so beyond sweet and gentle and would NEVER let you leave without getting EXACTLY what you want. 1000/10 would recommend this salon, and especially Jocelin. The salon is super cute and kept very clean and organized; it felt very very homey and warm. Will definitely be making the trip up there again! read more

I've been there twice now for pedicures, and the Salon is clean, light, bright, and the staff is welcoming and very friendly I've met the owner, Sarah, and she is outgoing, personable, funny, and very helpful! I went here as part of a very large wedding party and they were great. You never know how it will turn out when you try a new place but I was impressed. There were 12 girls getting their hair and makeup done and you know there is going to be some "challenges". Two of the girls had their hair redone after the hair dresser spent a bit of time on them, and both hair dressers were gracious. I also thought they did a good job with the makeup, everyone looked great. I believe my hairdresser was Allison and she did a great job with my hair and makeup. Booked my 1st appt online- process was very simple and client- friendly. Asked for what i thought was impossible 1st appt, but Lauren and co. not phazed, I went from an original brunette to my 1st time blonde and tickled with the results. Plus the cute short cut to 'top' it all off ( get it?) Salon itself is spacious, very clean, has lots of little extras to pamper clientele. Well- rounded service menu.
