Great spot to eat in at, however I wouldn't recommend takeaway…read more Burgers are cooked well, good size and tasty. Decent range to choose from too. Haven't had great experiences with takeaway however, from 30+ minute delays, to food not arriving. When we eat in, we have nothing but praise, however.

They do have a big TV above the bar but when we were there it was mercifully only playing music videos at a decent volume. They've got Jalapeno Poppers as a starter, and jars of sliced jalapenos on the tables. I like they way they think... The Cheesus Burger is a big whack of food. I expected the different flavours to drown each other out but the different cheeses were all well represented. I was happy that a burger with that much cheese and bacon didn't taste too salty. If I order it again I'll ask for extra blue cheese but only because it's an entire food group as far as I'm concerned. Some of the extras are a bit pricy. $2 for onion? I'll pass. Otherwise the costs seem pretty reasonable for what you're getting. Their gluten free buns are a bit dry compared to some places, according to my wife, but a light toasting could probably take care of that. They were absolutely flat out and still getting over some minor opening day hiccups when we went so I'm yet to try getting them to make some of their regular burger options with their vegetarian patties. They do however say they're making their own patties so I've got high hopes.

I have let the experience settle in to see if it were just a reaction to being directly after a long day or if it were genuinely as bad as what I thought. From the moment we walked in we felt unwelcome. Friendly staff member accusingly asking us on a Tuesday night, no less in Frankston in a tone that suggested 'this was the party of the century up in here and you best be on the guest list or you are drinking alone in the park tonight honey' "Do you have a booking?" "Ahh no" I responded confused. If I wanted to book a table somewhere worthwhile, I wouldn't really rock up exhausted and gross after work to Hog's Breath in Funky Town now would I, guy? He rolled his eyes and scampered off to a mostly empty restaurant to procure a two seater, for my friend and I. Of course he returned to seat us. Strangely, there was what seemed like 50 waiters and waitresses almost out numbering the patrons, yet the wait to order was marathon. Then the patronizing question they always give you at Hog's Breath Franchises "do you know how it all works here?" I am yet to see how their ordering system is so complex that I need a juvenile waiter to look at me crossed eyed to comfort me through the dire process. Bla bla bla it's hogs breath the food is the same everywhere- average and overpriced. I ordered a steak cooked Blue and it came out medium. Come on, isn't steak your thing? I liked the pepper sauce though, felt a bit gravox packet mix, but it was in context which was comforting. I suspect their mash is also from a packet too, seemed powdery. Kudos on the new menu though, it looks great but I did not see evidence on delivering any promise. The staff and service are atrocious. They all need up skilling and further training as soon as is humanly possible. Really embarrassing.
