This review is based on the follow up visit. I had a 10am appt and I arrived at 9:50 and was taken straight back with no wait. The lady who takes you in also takes your temperature using one of those forehead zapper types that everyone is using now, she wore a mask and the place is very Covid compliant. The Dr. came in quickly and I explained how much better I feel after the physical therapy and I now have stretches to do at home that will avoid surgery! That was a huge plus for me as I was thinking I needed to have surgery. He asked me to buy some insoles and he shows me them on Amazon! In the past foot doctors have recommended $400 plus insoles made just for me, that of course insurance does not pay for. I asked if he was a surgeon as well and he told me he is and he had worked at another place in Delray (I think) before starting his own practice. 5 stars, really cares and listens and his assistant is 5 stars as well. This was caused because the metatarsal in my fourth toe on each foot stopped growing. This condition caused me physical pain as well as emotional pain. I searched a couple of years for a surgeon who could perform the surgical correction for me. I called and met with several doctors, but Dr. Lamm was the most knowledgeable that I encountered. I had a complex surgical treatment (external fixation) to correct my Brachymetatarsia. I was out of work for 10 weeks and it was not easy, but I have absolutely no regrets! My feet look completely normal. Besides the minimal scars, you'd never guess I had extensive surgery on my feet! Dr. Lamm has a great bedside manner. He took the time to answer all the questions my husband and I had about my treatment and recovery. His staff made sure to stay on top of filing things to my insurance, getting my paperwork turned in for my job, and anything else I needed. I'd highly recommend seeing Dr. Lamm if you have Brachymetatarsia or any other foot or ankle condition that requires surgical treatment. Dr. Lamm is on Instagram now. When one asked for my license and ins card she said we don't take this. I said the woman I spoke to yesterday said you did I asked 2x , the other girl said Oh, that was me I must have made a mistake. Well, I am in pain and a mistake is not what I want to hear right now when I know I was specific. I work in the medical field as well so I know the importance of making sure I see a participating provider. I was told I can "JUST PAY" That was not the answer I needed. She then made a face at me and asked if I wanted to speak w/ the office manager.. sure I said... Well HELLO it's me Sara.. lol Really. If this is who they wish to represent them well I am glad I left. She is a not cut out for any position in healthcare. They may have a good reputation but a staff member like that will lose them business. Shame on her for not caring about her job enough to worry that someone was in pain and needed to be seen.
