I don't recommend this service. We had water damage in my house in early January. It was the end of July before the work was complete. At least twice they were scheduled to come and didn't show up. They did not paint the walls in the colors I chose and refused to refund. They are very overpriced for the quality of work. Don't ever use them! They will mess things up and not pay! I have a picture showing they left drain unclogged and we had to call a plumber to undo the clog when we finally got in our house! Then they broke our window and claimed they didn't put it down when I saw them do it! Now they drew black over the drain showing they did! Nope I put a towel over it to keep the cold out! They made a false insurance claim on my homeowners insurance, installed my hardwood floors incorrectl. they put the wrong product for my crawl space, and are lying about how they installed it. so much lying and incompetence. i will be suing them for unethical practices and improper workmanship. its one thing to make a mistake in installation of flooring, its another thing to lie about it and make false statements to avoid making it right. I wish I could give the rating of 0 stars! This company was horrible! They were hired by my landlord after a house fire and they were all about trying to get over on both my landlord's as well as my insurance company! They went through our things that were salvageable as if they were at a free yard sale! I guess they figured we wouldn't know since we were already in a vulnerable state! They finished off what the fire and water damage didn't wipe out! They helped themselves to my babies bikes on the patio and Christmas tree and decorations in the utility closet. After all of this they gave me a bill for over $6,000! Caremaster your days are numbered! You will not prosper taking advantage of people...period!!! The expansion tank on our water system rusted out and resulted in a major leak in our crawl space. Pure Link Plumbers came out to fix that (see review for Pure Link separately). While they were still at the house they got in contact with Joshua at Caremaster. He called right away and we arranged for him to come out to the house first thing the next morning. Which he did, bright and early (imagine that a service provider who actually shows up when he says!). We were expecting a major clean up project as there was a LOT of water in the crawl space the night before and it had drained out into the street and all that down to the sewer. But to our grateful surprise, after crawling under the house for quite a while and doing a very thorough inspection Joshua told us he didn't think we needed to do anything and really eased out minds. The real miracle about this is we have no real idea what the broken part is, what it does, that it even existed. And with all the water we had seen flushing down the street and the amount in the crawl space the night before, we were prepared for a major clean up. And Joshua could have told us anything he wanted we would have signed up for it without any question. He literally had us in the palm of his hands. And let us off the hook. As a professional I trust his assessment without hesitation. He wouldn't take any money from us for his trouble. Not only did we avoid a major expense, but we had our faith in our fellow man restored when the current state of the world has us at each others throat. Don't go any further than Caremaster if you find yourself in need of help with water, fire or mold repair. And thanks Joshua for a very nice start to the day. read more

We had a fire at our home and Caremaster was a life saver. They were able to remove and clean most all of our sentimental items and clean out the house for us. They did an incredible job. They also deal with flood issues. I wish I knew about them after Florence. They also took air samples to check on an issue with a rental apartment we were in. The also helped us get our list together for the insurance company and worked with them for us. They are the best!   I  highly recommend them. read more

I have no clue what they do but what ever they do is extremely effective of waking you up at 11pm on a Wednesday night. Their 120 decibel sound cannon, which mimics Leather Face's chainsaw at the cyclic rate, echoes from their truck and they are sure to wake even the most deceased of humans. Really have had two great experiences with Josh. I'm disabled and he mopped all the water in my bedroom from an overflowing master bath drain, hauled all the heavy wet towels upstairs to the washer, and explained why the shower over-flowed, with a fix. He charged me not one red cent. Today he came out to look at some possum damage in my crawl space, fixed the damaged insulation, cleaned up the animal waste. The charge? Not one thin dime. Terminix had come by earlier in the day and gave me an estimate of $4k to fix the damage. Terminix is obviously set on ripping us off. Caremaster obviously isn't. Big thumbs up! read more

In my opinion DO NOT USE ‼ I did after a Schwartz plumber referred Care master clean https://caremasterclean.com/ They came in, tore up my bathroom which is still not usable and held me hostage for the deductible I paid thru my homeowners insurance. After my home owners insurance rep and I tried to explain that the deductible was paid Caremaster said that this is not working out and we need to part company and i need to find another contractor. I then received a bill from Caremaster for $2000. After I explained that they ( fortunately ) did not start the " restoration " on my second bathroom they corrected the invoice to reflect $1500. Now I'm in search of another contractor to restore my bathroom . read more

Horrible. Run for your lives. They were "recommended" by a plumber who came in to fix a problem and made it worse (later I saw email correspondence from the plumber to them about getting their stories straight, so you draw your own conclusions about how they get some of their business). Their service people did not wear masks or clean shoe covers when coming into the house and interacting with my tenant who lives there (this in April, 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic)- my tenant is a nurse and was so disgusted she gave me an affidavit to give to the North Carolina AG about their dangerous business practices in failing to wear covering to protect their customers. After coming in to "remediate" the water damage they then pressured me relentlessly (emails, phone calls, texts, etc.) to let them in AGAIN to give me an estimate for repairs. I told them multiple times verbally and in writing that I would not use them for repairs and to give me a written statement of the work they had already done, but it took, again, multiple efforts from myself and my insurance agent (who I got involved mostly to get Caremaster to give me a written statement of work performed and the price)(no, you don't get an upfront written estimate from them either, BTW) to get a written statement and bill for work they already performed. They ignored my telling them multiple times I would NOT use them for repairs, and continued to hold my written bill hostage to my letting them back into my house a third time, which my tenant was adamantly against. (What part of "no" don't they understand?) Then, to cap it all off, one of their employees copied me on an email to others in the company bitching about my not letting them in again and saying "I can write something that would make them WISH they had of let me come out to inspect :)". So, threatening to write up something higher than they would have otherwise to punish me for not giving them the repair business. Their bill was astronomical. Find a different company is the best advice I can give about this company. It took almost a year and threats of lawsuits and intervention by Better Business Bureau to get this job completed. It was a very straightforward water damage restoration. Their staff was unprofessional, did sloppy work, had little or no supervision of their work and little or no respect for my home. Frequent staff turnover is a real problem. Since no one provides day to day supervision if your home is damaged as mine was they don't tell you about it and don't offer to repair it. I had water damage to my home in early December. I looked on the next-door website to see what company was most recommended to use. The most often recommended company was Caremaster. I engaged them for the re-flooring of my home and just wanted to let you all know what a disappointing experience it was. I strongly suggest looking just about anywhere else for a company in case you have fire or water damage to your house. Some of the highlights over my five month experience include Caremaster asking ME to go back and forth with State Farm to get their estimate finalized (7 weeks), putting the original damaged vanity back in my bathroom when a new one had been selected, damaging several pieces of furniture during content moving (including my solid wood dining room table), leaving my dishwasher with the hose facing down to leak all over the newly installed flooring which was not discovered until hours later as I was out of town, going upstairs in my house (all work was downstairs) without my permission to touch all of my stuff (think fine jewelry, check book, bank statements, and items I put upstairs specifically because I did not want them to touch it during content moving) to clean because they didn't bother putting a plastic tarp over the entry to the upstairs so they got dust everywhere, leaving my front door unlocked for days while I was away, using the wrong color paint to touch up damaged walls, leaving multiple scratches in the newly installed flooring, leaving items like razor blades and nails on my rugs....
