My therapist is skilled, caring, and friendly and so is the entire staff at this location. They're always happy to see you. Yes, therapy can be painful but that's the path when you're on the road to healing. I pray this is my last injury but I know if I end up injured again that I'm in great hands with the staff and therapists at this location.

I get that it is my mother's responsibility to know what her insurance covers and not but who really knows every detail of there insurance. At every other office we have been told about this much for copay deductible etc. At this office we were told about 20 dollars a visit. Over two months later I get huge bills from another company, apparently the billing company, that I wasn't expecting if I was answered correctly in the beginning I would have planned accordingly. Terrible service. The techs seem to do all the work. It seems either too busy because people show up for appointments late or overstaffed because the schedule is done poorly. There are so many therapy places to choose from I would not recommend this one to anyone, very poorly managed.

My 89 year old aunt has been living at Sunrise of Grosse Pointe Woods for nearly two years. She is…read moresometimes not the easiest person to please, but she has only the highest of praise for the Sunrise caregiving staff. On my last visit she called over several caregivers to her wheelchair and introduced them to me as you would a dear friend. My aunt was very unhappy to leave her own home and go into assisted living, but now she is contented thanks to the patience and attention of the wonderful staff. Resident Care Director Judy Gafa sets the tone at Sunrise GPW with wisdom and kindness and hands on care. She even personally accompanied my aunt for a doctor visit. I would attribute the excellence of these special people to a combination of genuine caring nature and superior training. Smiles all around. I only hope that should I need care one day that it will be from caregivers as excellent as the staff at Sunrise Grosse Pointe Woods.

Dr. Brennan is absolutely fantastic. After a year of ongoing issues and 6 months of treating neck…read morearm and back pain, it was finally time to see the neurologist. Hearing that, from your doctor that you've seen over and over again and after doing physical therapy, can leave you with a bad feeling in the pit of your stomach. But after going here I realize that all that anxiety was wasted and I'm so glad that my doctor referred me to this specialist. I was scheduled for an EMG test which is basically a nerve test. It shows if you have misfiring in your nerves because of a pinched nerve and other things. This office does do other neurological tests from what I understand, but this is what I went in for. Now this test I knew nothing about until my doctor's office told me (when they gave me the referral). They told me there were needles and electricity involved and I really got freaked out. Then when I called and I made my appointment they were so kind, and said anything you may have heard about this test most of that doesn't happen here. They explained the procedure but I still googled it. That was a bad mistake. Do yourself a favor ask your doctor questions and don't ever look anything up. People post the worst stories and yes, they might have had a bad experience, but everything that I did read online about this procedure was kind of outdated. The needles that were used for my procedure were almost like an acupuncture pin. If you look it up online and there are long probes that are as thick as a safety pin and as long as your middle finger. That's why I had anxiety all day When I came in and I met Dr. Brennan he knew almost immediately what my issue was just by touching my thumb. That's what a sharp mind and 30 years of experience will do for you. Everything I told him he said was completely textbook and I was so easy and he made me feel so much better. To have an accurate diagnosis that now and MRI will confirm exactly how to treat I know that I will be better sooner than later. I'm going to keep Dr. Brennan in mind if I need to go back for any more physical therapy or any more tests and I will specifically ask for him if the occasion comes up. Hopefully I'll never have to go back or not until much much later in life.... but now that I know that all of us who do any bending twisting and lifting can have these problems, there is a solution and you will feel better.

The facility called us saying my grandmother was found unresponsive, and they were calling the ambulance. A few minutes later, they called back saying "never mind, she is responsive now. We think she was unresponsive due to the position she was in (slumped over in her wheelchair)." My father requested she be put in bed, and some of the family went up to check on her. We found her still in her wheelchair and still unresponsive. She was unable to open her eyes, she couldn't speak, etc. Had we just taken their word for it, my grandma would have never been medically treated. Additionally, my grandmother waited over an hour in the rehab unit on several occasions when she hit her button to use the bathroom. Then she ended up being put in room where the button didn't work, and she had no way to request for assistance. We met maybe two people that actually cared for her and took good care of her. P.S. be warned, when they say they have nurses on staff during evening hours, they do not. It is aids only, and if you want your loved one to be seen by the doctor, forget about it.

My Mother lived at The Village of East Harbor for 11 years. She enjoyed dining with friends…read more exercising with Chris , and going to activities with Betsy. She loved spiritual programming with Laura. Moat of all she enjoyed her apartment with housekeeping services. She claimed she was never going to cook again after moving in and she didn't. On site Dr visits when needed were the icing on the cake. when her health declined and she went out to the hospital she came back to rehab. unfortunately the end was near and she passed away comfortably supported by family and staff.
