Mr. Jimmy's price on a 1040... $50 with state tax preparation included. He cut our bill to a tenth of what it used to be, and our tax liability too! Basically I guess that's the difference between a "Certified Tax Preparer" and a "Certified Public Accountant" who's life revolves around the IRS. The day of My second appointment I'm waiting around for her phone call. When she's 30min late I call to see if everything is ok because she's not responding to my text on the porthole. She says she's calling me back in a few. About a hour later I get a congratulations text saying my taxes are complete so now I'm really confused. I message her and again no response so I called and she said she messed up and sent me someone else's taxes she just finished and to give her a minute and she'll be calling me back. I wait a few more hours and it's now 7pm, my appointment was at 11am. I messaged her that she wasted my whole day and she responded saying she's busy and she has other stuff going on. I messaged her that I'd really just like to finish them and she didn't respond till a week later saying she's ready to finalize. I messaged back ok and when but it's been another week with no response , I've even tried to call but no answer. I feel uncomfortable with someone this unprofessional having my personal information. He pushed us to file an extension stating that he had an idea to get more deduction from a loss but needed time to research. Post tax deadline and he is non responsive. He is NEVER at work and one of his partners even stated "not surprising that he's not here," when I asked why he was never at work. RUN away from this place!
