Located a few feet from the train station in Lausanne, Le Romantica is a clean old school pastry shop loaded with goodies. Sitting outside and people watching is great. The prices are reasonable..10.50 chf for a coffee, one savory croissant and one sweet pastry. The employees speak enough English to get by. A suggestion...maybe you as a visitor learn a little of the local language. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is they had no WiFi.

I had a chicken curry croissant a few days ago and want to walk back for more. I justify the urge by walking to the bakery. If you walk, then you will burn calories. When you burn calories, you must replenish with more goodies! Today I had some fromage and a strawberry tart. I plan on cleaning them out when I depart for the states later on this week. The people are very friendly and patient for the non-speaking French patrons who come to visit! Très bon!
