The apartment was roomy, clean and well kept. The view of the river from the large deck and hot tub was very nice. Breakfast was excellent every day. We even got the recipes so we could recreate them at home. We would definitely stay again when we are in the area!

The Kinley Manor Coach House reminds me of a luxury A-frame that you would just accidentally…read morestumble upon when you are vacationing at a beautiful place on the coast like Cannon Beach, OR...except that its located in the heart of one of my favorite cities, Portland. Everything about our stay here was just great. We were met by one of the owners as we checked in, and there was a nice bottle of Sparkling cider and some carnations left to greet us on the table. This is really a pretty spacious place for 2 or more people with a gas stove, fire stove, an expansive DVD collection, and lots of nooks and crannies for unpacking clothing items. The place is just as tastefully decorated as the home next door, and during the night we were there it was quiet enough that you could almost forget that you were in the city at all. I loved it, and I would be back in a heartbeat...

I am in Portland to visit my son who attends UP so this spot was perfect. I have been able to walk anywhere I needed to go and could park my car outside without paying for parking. Last night I had my son and friend to dinner and a movie. We watched a movie from one of the several selections offered to their guests. The bed was amazing. I travel a lot so I can appreciate the value of a nice place to stay.

Thankfully, having already booked Portland's White House as our Mini-moon, I'd noticed the possibility of PWH as a venue and we were able to make use of their "Elopement Package". Carol (the PWH manager and our hostess) was a pleasure to work with and went out of her way to help us adapt to the new venue and make for a memorable ceremony (her experience as an event coordinator was very helpful). The house is beautiful and the courtyard made for a lovely venue (the rose-covered trellis made for a nice backdrop for our vows). Breakfast each morning was delicious and eye-catching - especially nice, as they were able to account for my Wife's Gluten intolerance. We fully plan on booking another weekend (if not more) here in the future.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to report that Portland's White House has been sold as a…read moreprivate residence, and will no longer be functioning as a B&B or event space. My wife and I will always cherish the memories of our wedding here, but unfortunately, looks like we won't be able to spend our one year anniversary revisiting those memories. A tremendous loss for Portland.

Upon arrival, I was perplexed to find no one around - not a soul anywhere but I knew someone had to be there because the distinct smell of cat urine about knocked me over. There was loud music playing somewhere on property so I began searching - half feeling as if I was invading the privacy of the owner, the other half of me a bit annoyed at the initial experience. I eventually found the owner who indicated he was alone and explained his wife had passed a couple years ago. He went on to explain that she was the machine that kept the place tidy. I noticed the place was in dire need of attention, and thoughts of thanking the nice man and leaving where rushing through my head. I don't know if he sensed my uneasiness or it was the fact I was the *only* guest there, but he hooked me up with the master suite which was palatial. King bed, sitting area, separate room with a tv (that didn't work) and a couch; the tv in the main room didn't work either. The bathroom was huge. If the weather had cooperated, there would have been a view of Mt. Hood from the front windows. Everything looked great....on the surface. But if you looked a little closer, there was cat hair on every surface, including bedding - I had to turn the pillowcases inside out and pushed the duvet to the other side of the giant king bed. Insects in the carpet and bathroom tub. Breakfast....which is the second B in the B&B, was not prepared unless you cooked it yourself. This didn't bother me much, I'm not really a breakfast person. Besides sleeping with the light on and ensuring every door was locked (that would lock) I think of the 2 nights I spent here, I may have slept a total of 2 hours...and even then I had one eye open. Virgil was a pleasant man, but he needs help - the house is simply too much for him.

We've been coming here for years to kayak and Canoe but now we own a boat and get to join in on…read morethe river sports side and this location is great for skiing and other water activities. The general store doesn't open till 9am and they charge a Convenience fee on most items, they have live music sometimes and the bathrooms are clean. Docking to get on and off the boat is super easy. They even have a fish platform that is ADA accessible and a child's fish pond where only kids can fish safely. We have spent many weekends here and plan on many more. Thanks for the memories

Our first time here and we were impressed. It's very clean and well kept. Campground has a mix of…read morecabins, yomes and tents (electrical and non). Activities for kids throughout the day to keep them entertained. All was great but must mention that campground is located at hi-way 224 which means you will hear road noise, I would advise looking at the map and choosing spot by the water and away from the road. We were in a cabin 28 which is the the lower part of the campground so heard nothing overnight unlike our friends who were in a yome right next to highway. Garbage dumpsters and restroom/showers as well as the kitchen facilities are located throughout the campground which was convenient.
