Google said they were open till 7:30, so at 6:55 we walked by. There was the owner, about to lock up. I asked "Are you closed?" and he said "no, but I will be at 7 unless you are inside!" The gelato containers were all closed, but I asked him if we could get some and he said yes! I got the pistachio and then dark chocolate. You MUST get the dark chocolate. The most flavorful, creamy, delicious gelato experience in Rome beyond a doubt. We had a comparable experience in Venice but had not found a satisfactory equivalent here.
