And on the way, I found a new comfort with myself. By the time I got to Carrie Anne's for the photography... I was ready for this! An unforgettable 45th birthday experience!…read more I decided to do a photoshoot to celebrate my 45th birthday, and I wanted this one to be different--bold, special, and something I would always remember. I had posed for photos before, but this was definitely the boldest thing I've ever done! I found Zeynep through social media and followed her for a while before I finally worked up the courage to reach out. I'm SO glad I did! From our very first conversation, I felt comfortable with her. We clicked right away, and I knew she was the person I wanted to capture this milestone for me. She explained everything thoroughly, and from the time I booked in July until the actual shoot, she was organized, responsive, and incredibly thoughtful with her communication. When I arrived on shoot day, I was greeted by a personalized welcome sign. It may seem like a small detail, but it meant so much to me. I'm someone who always goes above and beyond for others, so experiencing that level of personalization immediately made me feel special and excited for the day. Helena did my hair and makeup, and she was amazing! She made me feel comfortable and brought out the best in me. I absolutely LOVED my hair and makeup. While I was getting ready, Zeynep was organizing all of my outfits, shoes, and accessories so beautifully. Everything was so intentional and organized. The actual shoot was SO much fun! Zeynep was professional, patient, encouraging, and funny. We had plenty of bloopers where we had to stop because we were laughing, which made the experience feel so natural. She gave me direction every step of the way and somehow managed to make me feel like I actually knew what I was doing! We shot for over four hours, and I could genuinely tell that this is more than a job for her--it's her passion. She was completely invested in making sure I felt and looked amazing. Then came the photo reveal two days later... WOW. I was blown away! There were definitely moments when I would make a funny comment about myself, but Zeynep always helped me see what she saw through her lens. She has such a beautiful perspective, and when I looked at the photos again, I could actually see the beauty she was seeing. I'm so happy I took the leap and trusted her with such an important milestone. She made my 45th birthday celebration feel empowering, fun, personal, and unforgettable. If you've been thinking about doing a shoot but are nervous or unsure--DO IT. And book Zeynep. You won't regret it! I would absolutely do this again!

The experience of the photo shoot was one thing, but the photos themselves were also absolutely incredible. We had a hard time narrowing down the shots we wanted to use with the package that we ordered because they ALL looked amazing. She is an extremely talented artist and I regret not booking her for a boudoir shoot before I was expecting! If she can pull this off when I am super pregnant, I can only imagine the kind of magic she could work when I'm actually feeling sexy. I would love to work with her again in the future.

Cinnamon did my photos and it's OBVIOUS she has decades of experience. Her personality was so vibrant but calming. The first questions she asked were about my comfort level, what I was ok with showing and not ok with showing. Asked a lot of questions about what my goal for the shoot would be. It made me feel very safe and comfortable. She had me get in my first outfit and pointed out things I never would have thought of like deodorant on my underarms. She gave clear direction on posing and made the whole process so much fun. I forgot I was there for a photoshoot. It seemed effortless for her. She took time after my shoot to answer any questions I had about the next steps in the process. After the shoot I got the edited photos 3 days later which is a crazy turn around time. The album came with very clear instructions on how to view and select photos or packages for purchase. I was also given multiple reminders to make my selections before the cut off time which my ADHD brain really appreciated. I would (and have) recommend them to anyone looking for this type of shoot and will probably book in the future.

I checked if they were touring again and when I saw a session two days before my birthday, I took it as a sign from the universe that I needed to book another one. Be rude not to! Plus, I've been working hard on my self image and confidence. I'm not lying when I say they helped me be able to say I'm beautiful out loud and believe it. Stacey was amazing the first time, and I looked forward to see if I worked with her again or if it would be one of the other two amazing ladies at Bad Kitty. This time in September 2025, I had the pleasure of working with the wonderful Madison! The bar was set pretty high by Stacey as she was phenomenal with my sensory issues for makeup/hair and talked me through the poses to make me feel comfortable. Madison hit this out of the park! Heck, I'm not just beautiful, I am SEXY is this recent shoot! Wowza madam, you captured some truly stunning photos! I am still blown away by some of them. Would I book again? Heck yeah!!! See, I've always been very self-conscious. I booked the midi session, because it was the shortest amount of time I would be "exposed." Lol Rocky made me feel like an absolute goddess on the day of our shoot. She positioned my body in ways that flattered my curves, that empowered me as a woman, and that showcased my best attributes! I have never felt so comfortable around someone I had just met. She pumped me up, she helped me feel sexy and confident, and she showed me that I can love my body no matter what it looks like. This is the part that was life-changing. When I got my photo previews, I was floored. I literally said "THAT'S WHAT I LOOK LIKE?!" I couldn't believe how sexy and beautiful I looked. I was truly blown away! She captured a side of me that I didn't even know I had. It has awakened a part of me that I didn't know was there. Both me and my husband are truly grateful for that! I received my final prints quickly and they turned out beautifully. I have literally been telling all the ladies in my life that they need to book a shoot with Rocky because they deserve it! However, once I got engaged, my fiancé and I were with my friend and her husband, and the way he spoke about how much be loved and "used" the photos when she was recovering from giving birth convinced me to do boudoir photos for my fiancé. Naturally, I was nervous about doing them, but they informed me that in their entire time in business, they have never had a leak. More importantly, the pictures are so tasteful that if they did get out, at least there is no actual nudity at all. Before your shoot, they send you a super detailed and helpful e-mail about what to bring/order, what they have that you can wear, where to park, and anything else you can think of! Definitely read the whole e-mail even though it's lengthy because it's got lots of useful stuff in there! I did the By the Sea Shoot, which is only done on Saturdays from about 3:15/3:30-7:15/7:30 p.m. includes 1-1.5 hours of hair and make-up. My schedule went like this: 3:30 p.m.-4:45ish p.m.: Ashley did my hair and make-up while giving me some champagne to relax and loosen up 4:45-5:00 p.m.: Get into outfit # 1 5:00 p.m.-6:45 p.m. ish: -Photos in outfit # 1, -Change into outfit # 2 and pics in that outfit in a different area or backdrop, -Change into outfit # 3 and pics in that outfit in a different area or backdrop -Ashley also had me put on a button down over outfit #1 and a fuzzy jacket over outfit # 3 which created 2 extra looks 6:45-7:00 p.m.: Pack-up to leave the studio and drive to the nearby beach 7:00 p.m.-7:15 p.m.: Pics in beach outfit # 1 7:15 p.m.-7:30 p.m.: Pics in beach outfit # 2 I did my shoot on Saturday, April 30, and I received my pictures via a password protected online gallery on Wednesday, May 11 (8 business days later). Then, you select 25 photos for the album using the favorites feature on the online gallery. Once you select those, Lindsey will edit your photos as little or as much as you want and send you a proof of the album. I haven't finalized my album yet, but I'm sure it will be great! My only critique would be that I did feel like the whole experience was a lot of money. I did find other studios that charge less. However, I proceeded with Boudoir Divas nonetheless for two reasons: First, for something like this, you really want to go with someone trusted and used by someone. Knowing my friend used them, that her photos were tasteful, that they made her feel comfortable, and that the photos were secure was important to me. Second, our engagement photos were $700.00 for 2 hours, and that did not include hair and make-up, so I guess $1,695.00 plus tax is pretty fair for a shoot twice the length that includes hair and make-up. Including some of the less scandalous photos or cropped photos that are appropriate that I absolutely loved. An added bonus to doing this is that there is so much pressure to look perfect on your wedding day, but these photos turned out so much better than I could have ever expected that they really boosted my confidence before my big day. Ashley was a great photographer too, who made me feel very comfortable, helped me style my outfits and made suggestions, listened to what I wanted, did a phenomenal job on my hair and make-up, posed me well (and actually showed me the poses first herself rather than just describing them), and is just a super sweet and kind human being! Fast forward to nearly 6 years since I've been a client, there is a saying that goes, "The more things change, the more it remains the same." The last time I stepped foot into their location, it was a towering space of wonder located in Sorrento Valley and now it is in a cozy, intimate studio near the ocean in Solana Beach. I had my photo shoot this past March, just a week shy of my birthday. I too, have transitioned in the past 6 years. The last time I was here, it was to celebrate my weight loss journey. It was definitely a milestone worth commemorating at the time, with an additional 30lb loss since those original photos were taken. At this phase in my life, I decided to do this for me. Not for my husband or for anyone else for that matter. In the past 12 months, I have endured and was blessed with a rollercoaster of life events that would test the mental and physical strength of any fierce woman. I chose "self-care" to celebrate my birthday this year and the care and attention of these fabulous women is what they gave me that day. What hasn't changed is the core of what makes The Boudoir Divas well sought after. The core being Marissa, Ashley, and Lindsey...and the addition of Julia on the day I was there. I felt like I was greeted by friends and was comfortable throughout the entire process. I brought in quite a selection of outfits even though they had many options to choose from as well. I was given feedback at what would look best for my shoot. Like before, I just let go of whatever anxiety I may have had and let them take care of me. Let them take the lead for you ladies. Ashley did a phenomenal job on my hair and makeup. Marissa was my photographer, and she worked her magic on me like before. Julia was an added addition to the team that added more positive vibes into my day. Lindsey is behind the scenes working on my selected photos. The whole process from start to finish was 3.5-4hrs. I had 3-4 wardrobe changes. I even opted to have a book this time around. I'm not going to reiterate what I had mentioned in my previous review since it very much still applies as far as the overall experience, post shoot photo review of your photos, and the process leading up to receiving your photos. The only change this time around is that I'm by the beach and there is a cute little cafe just a few steps from the studio as an option to go while waiting for the photos to upload. There is a reason why I'm a repeat client. These women love their job, and it shows. Its money well spent. You will get what you pay for. I feel like my second go this time around was even better. I looked amazing. I felt amazing. The quality of my photos is tastefully done. I'm surrounded by professional, caring women who have the wealth of experience that you will not find in any other photo studio that you may think of booking. I already have a few of my girlfriends booked and ready to go in the next couple of weeks and I'm excited for their experience. Like I said, if you're on the fence and need a sign about which team of professionals you want handling your photo shoot, this is it. It's these team of women. I wouldn't choose anyone else. Highly recommend!
