It is set in the heart of Woolacombe just by the shops. The pub has a DJ in the summer on weekend nights and is very popular. It also has a tv screen for football and sports and has a pool table too. They do a full food menu which is quite extensive in the Summer and this place is often very busy. they have a small carpark but there is parking over the road in what was once upon a time. The pub can hold quite a few people and has a large seeting area for the food service. The service is very good and the food is very good value.

It has a really nice feel to it and has a fantastic beer garden. This is great in the summer. The pub is frequently visited by people going to the beach and also epople walking along the coastal routes as it is just off the coast path. They do food and serve a good selection of drinks. The food is good and is priced quite fairly for what it is.

The pub is very relaxed the decoration is relaxed to with various surfboards hung up and pictures hung up.My husband especially likes the steaks there and I like the ribs. The staff are always really friendly and happy to help. The tables are quite close together so if you have a buggy it can be difficult. Outside there is also seating. We often find ourselves going there after a stroll on the beach. In the summer it gets really busy so make sure you go there at a decent time as you won't find a seat.

The bar is pretty light and very welcoming and the staff was as welcoming as any place we have been to in Devon (very welcoming, in case you wondered). The place to go if the sun is out though, is the raised terraced area around the back. It gets the full day sun, is peaceful, has patio doors that open onto upstairs dining room so is easy to get to the bar and the marble tables out there warm up in the sun and turn into something of a stone hot plate - which was nice. The burgers are definitely a good choice if coming for food. You can get the basic for about £8/9 and then you can stack the ingredients to your hearts content (blue cheese, jalapeño peppers, cheddar, onions, bacon, etc.) and they are beautifully presented to the table on big chunky wooden boards by the chef himself. As for parking, best head for the village car park just around the corner, there is not much space on the road outside!
