I went to run my car through the $13 wash and had to wait behind 4 cars, but it wasn't a horrible wait. It did the job and I will definitely come back. We were in the area and wanted a quick touchless wash to tide us over until our next hand wash at home to avoid scratches and hazing, but it helps to have an easy option for in between those washes. Captain Car Wash's touchless wash did a great job, getting about 90% off the car, and the rest was easy to do at a home in just a few minutes. It is clearly a popular wash location, but the line moved through quickly and efficiently. Captain car wash is not true to its name. Nope. Being located next to my place of residence, I've been very regular here even though I don't at all like it. I mostly do their $ 7 wash, obviously it only does 75% of the job and I have to do the rest of the washing/cleaning later. I always come here with a bucket of water to do the after wash. Once out of curiosity, I wanted to try how good their top tier wash works. I paid $ 13 just to see the results so disappointing(see pics). Being a new car owner, I was looking for a "touchless" car wash. Google and Yelp searches yielded Captain Car Wash. I don't have much experience with car washes in general, but I was happy with the results from Captain Car Wash. The automatic car wash interface was intuitive and credit car payment was easy. Their top of the line wash is $10, while their most economical wash will only set you back $6. I opted for their premium wash which included a presoak, wash, rinse, polish, sealant and an undercarriage spray. To be honest, I am not convinced all these extras make a noticeable difference. It's marketing scheme that works, as most people will pay an extra dollar or two for "the works." My car came out pretty clean and I had the peace of mind that no brushes or soft towels ever touched my car. The one thing I wish could have been done better was the drying. Maybe I drove out of the tunnel too quickly, but numerous water spots still persisted. Overall, I am still very satisfied. It was fast, affordable and convenient. read more

For the $10 top-of-the-line car wash, the "touch less" system did not clean the bottom of the doors or lower side rail part of my sedan. Wasted money! Highly recommend Moo Moo and the conveyer belt system. Also attendants are present to watch and guide you through the tunnel! read more

Captain was a 5 stars wash on my old car. But for the last 5 months, it's not cleaning the bottom 12-15 inches on my new SUV. I use the $13 wash. Last week, the manager Jalen was very helpful and ran it through again. But the bottom of both sides, and the front and rear were still dirty. Since I finished the seasonal detailing for my personal vehicle, I took my wife's car in here for a quick wash before I put on her winter wax (Turtle Was ICE is the best man - totally forgiving and it looks so good ugh, but I digress) Really fair price and the vacuums are nice. Ran into the owner once or twice - nice guy - gave me a coupon to try out their newly installed touch less system. Gotta say it did the job, those water jets are intense! I like the fact the driers are timed too because I can let them hit the car at my own pace as I exit the washing bay. Also there's plenty of parking to towel dry and clean as necessary. I don't enjoy this carwash, but seem to convince myself it will be better each time I go. It never is. I use the self-serve bays, so for $1.50 you get 4 minutes of wash time. I have never put less than $5 into a trip here. The price to time ratio is pretty normal, but the equipment is very much lacking. This particular time I had a soap brush that had the hiccups: It would alternatively projectile blech up fluffy suds (usually exploding on the car and covering me in soap confetti) and then promptly stop sudding completely...even through I had loads of time left. Very frustrating! I haven't tried the automatic car washes yet and probably won't. For my car washing needs, I'll head to any of the alternatives in the area. read more

This is a 4 star brushless automatic car wash. That extra star would come with an attendant with a pre-wash brush. The place is clean and all the bulbs are lit. This shows that someone it giving it due attention. 3 automated washes, and 3 self serve bays. This moves the line faster than other car washes. Others put your car on a track and move you through every 3.5 minutes, no matter what package you ordered. Here you drive in thru the guides to a stop block. The machine moves around your vehicle with revolving turbo jets. I loved the way the arm lowered to give special attention to the front end, where it receives the most punishment. Vehicle height is limited to 7 feet tall in automatic bays. It appears the self serve may accommodate taller vehicles. I timed the 3 vehicles ahead of me. 3 were 5 minutes(including mine), and the other was 6 minutes. I had the Deluxe Wash and Dry for $8. A feature that I really liked was the dryer. The dryer comes on. The wheel block lowers, and the green GO light comes on. Drive through the blowers as fast as YOU want. Slow down for areas that only you know need more drying. There is a timer, but I didn't notice it until it read 44 seconds. I'm sure conveyor washes push you past the dryers much quicker. I inspected the washed car after. It removed a lot of winter crud, but still left behind a dirty film. The wheels had a lot of brake dust, that could not be removed by the jets, but could with a light wipe of my finger. I believe ANY automatic car wash is for mild cleanings, between hand contact washes. With the amount of winter debris I had... I should have paid for the self serve, brush the wheels, lower body panels, and heavy build up, before going through the automatic. I will return, and may get a pre-paid card for extra savings. read more

Took my car use both self wash and touch less wash. Prior to washing my car no paint was off went through the touch less and paint lifted in a central area. Asked owner how this could happen and he went on a rant about it's not possible for the pressure to lift paint and it was acid or it was bubbled up and the pressure just lifted the paint. Because of my reaction he assumed I didn't like his answer and got further defensive and started pointing out other areas of my car that had scratches. (Mind you I knew about those scratches). I was just asking how something like that could happen and instead of just saying sir I don't know made the situation worse especially when he pointed out different areas of my car. And then to tell me the reason that I don't like his answer when he mentioned acid, as a reason was confusing because I never mentioned it. read more

This car wash is great for Jeep Wranglers. I originally took it to a car wash south of this location and the brushes were missing certain areas of the Wrangler. I tried Captain car wash on the next go around. This car wash got everything including the spots missed by the other car wash. The prices are about the same as Moo Moo. As long as I have the Wrangler and live where I do, I will bring it here. If they added free vacuum's, they would take lots of Moo Moo's business. read more

Went to captain car wash for winter wash. It takes about 7 minutes per car to go through the wash. The line was about 3 cars in each lane and then an additional 4 cars in the line before the wash bays. After waiting about 25 mins and paying for the premium wash, I finally got in. The only part of the wash that worked was the foam, so after covering my car with the foam cleaner there was no rinse. I went to the valvaline next door, and although the don't own or manage the car wash, they were as helpful as they could be. The called the manager of the wash to let him know, but that's all they could do. They guys at valvaline were great. So, with no manager or service person there to help I was told I could wait in line to go through the wash again, having to wait another 25+ minutes to rewash, or pay again to go in a self serv lane to rinse all the soap off myself. Needless to say, I drove down the street to the next car wash to pay again and rewash the soap off my car. This was a very disappointing and poor experience. I won't return to captain carwash again in the future, and I'll be sure to let everyone I talk to about carwashes know to be prepared for a very bad experience if anything goes wrong. read more

Great touch less car wash. For a top level wash it will set you back $10. When I don't have the time to wash my truck I take it here without the worry of scratches. Expect to wait on nice days and weekends, it can get up to 20-30 min wait sometimes. They have a credit card machine for the touch less wash and you will have to bring dollars or change for the do-it-yourself wash area. They have a venting machine for all the things you forgot to bring or don't have. read more

New equipment was nice to see, but the old equipment cleaned my car better. I purchased the $8 wash (level 2/4) just to get the outside clean and dry, but the bottom 2-3' of my car was untouched. Same dirt along the lengths of both sides of my car as before the wash. I believe purchasing the wheel wash would solve this issue after watching the cars behind me, but I shouldn't have to pay one price for the top half of my car, and pay more to just get the doors and bumpers. I prefer a touch less carwash, but I'll probably return to hand washing or going to Moo Moo down the street with their new equipment. read more

I live nearby and use this car wash every time I can't find the time to wash the car myself in the driveway. I typically use the auto wash bays but occasionally use the self service as well. You do get a good value for the money on the self service wash and I would say my only complaint about the auto wash bay is the price. There are economy washes but if you want your car dried off as well then you need to pay a little more. I bring my water-blade and dry the car off myself most times and I think it saves $2.00. Yeah, I'm cheap. The real reason I keep coming back is the customer service. I recently had an issue with soap spots all over my car after paying for the full service wash and I sent an email to the owner/manager. Sure enough he discovered a leaky hose and repaired it and sent me 2 free car wash coupons for my trouble. This was all within a few days and was better than I expected. So that will keep me coming back since I know that if there are problems, I'm not without some support. read more

I paid $12 to clean and vacuum my car. I was so disappointed. What a waste of money. I had to clean the outside of my car again once I got home. Worst car wash.. cheapest one that has a drying component (obviously needed in the winter!) is $8. I bought it and stopped exactly when it said to and it didn't turn on. This has happened to me twice here within a month. I was in a rush so didn't have time to call and wait but will never use this again.
