Fresh Crab or salmon -- long lines are worth it. The fish/crab are stored right ... live and active. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Great service and Captain Barry is an awesome man. The crab we bought were fresh and delicious. It was worth the 4 hours drive one way.

Maybe short staffed? Grilled fish on taco itself was nice but the rest of it was not good- had what seemed like grilled canned pineapple in it? and the crab roll tacos were basically fried egg rolls - not tacos at. Yes real crab but no flavor! Just crab and wrap-unseasoned and I pictured something like what I saw on their website. Habanero mango salsa was pretty sweet and you can't taste anything but that when you use it. Unfortunately that's what came with both dishes. It doesn't complement the dish at all , it hides it. We didn't use it. Pretty disappointing experience. They do have a nice outdoor seating area. Maybe there's better items on the menu and we just missed it.

After pointing it out, they switched it to a platter for 3, but it was still missing crabs and other types of seafood that should have been included. We also ordered clam chowder, which arrived cold. The total bill was $189, but the food we received was worth around $50 or less based on portion and quality. Completely unacceptable and not worth the money. I would not recommend this place.

Great with the lemon and I never use tartar sauce but theirs is GOOD and I actually finished my serving, which never happens! I'd love to try the fish and chips broiled next time. Key lime pie was good, especially to share. My table insisted on getting the chowder. Like people have said in other reviews, it's thick. It's its own thing. It has a lot of clams. It tasted like a cousins of gravy. As in by hits and gravy. It was good but I couldn't eat more than 4-5 spoonfuls. I wouldn't get it again but was glad I tried it. For dinner that night I just ate a pile of vegetables to offset the mountain of fried animals I consumed at lunch. It was worth it. Every single staff person was sweet, attentive and patient even though the crowds were relentless. Great casual spot. Come ready to wait. And enjoy!

We tried the famous fish and chips, garlic bread with crab meat and topped with cheese and also the calamari. The fish and Chips you can choose cold slaw or French fries. We opted for the French fries. The fish is so juicy and fresh. One order comes with 4 pieces of fish and a good amount of French fries. They garlic bread with crab and toasted with cheese was really flavorful. It has a relatively decent amount of crab meat. It's fresh crab meat and it's not to salty of fishy like some places. The calamari are small squid pieces but fried to perfection. Not overly seasoned or oily. The tartar sauce was amazing with every item we ordered. Will definitely come back again for the fish and chips

We're also…read morefans of the current owners of Jetty Wave, who are presenting a new incarnation of Joanne's under the name Ketch Harbor Pub. Curious about what the new/old place is like, our three-person family went there for a late breakfast today. Walking up to the front doors, the original inset stained glass remains. Walking in, the cool wood paneling and nautical decor remains in place with a couple of new touches. The fully appointed bar also remains, now with a more streamlined look with subtle lighting changes. We were greeted pleasantly and seated inside the dining room immediately; it was moderately busy and buzzing, not too loud. Our server was quick to our table, menu-knowledgeable and consistent in his attention to us. We had a Denver omelette, a couple of bennies and lemon ricotta pancakes to share. My omelette had particularly fresh and al fresca peppers and onions - wonderful. The lemon ricotta pancakes were sufficiently saturated and fluffy(hard to pull off)and came with fresh cream. The prices were at about the same level as the local competition, which pleasantly surprised us. It appears that the folks who did this breakfast/lunch reboot were shrewd in pricing their dishes. Jetty Wave, a drinks and appetizers adventure(which I heartily recommend as well for different reasons)in the northwestern part of Princeton, is not for the fiscally faint hearted. The only element that makes our experience short of a 5 is that we were not given a farewell when we left, though I was able to find our friendly server and thanked him. In all, the Joanne's legacy is intact - the old carved wood Ketch Joanne sign still hangs inside - literally and figuratively a homage to its legacy while bringing a new energy to this space. Recommended.

We stopped by for lunch on a crisp day, and it completely captured that perfect coastal vibe--think fresh seafood, laid-back atmosphere, and killer views of the boats and water. We started with the calamari, which was hands-down some of the best I've ever had: tender, not rubbery at all, perfectly seasoned and fried, melting in your mouth. The New England-style clam chowder was rich, creamy, with just the right subtle smokiness and balanced seasoning--definitely lives up to Half Moon Bay's chowder reputation. For mains, the Dungeness crab sandwich was the star: generous lumps of sweet local crab, minimal sauce (just how I like it), on toasted sourdough with fries on the side. My partner went with the fish and chips, and the cod was crispy, flaky, and not greasy at all--classic done right. The outdoor patio with fire pits was cozy even in cooler weather, and our server was super friendly, attentive, and full of local recommendations. The place feels welcoming, whether you're a regular from the Coastside or just passing through after a beach walk or harbor stroll. Prices are fair for the fresh, quality ingredients and location--definitely worth it. We've already added it to our list for the next trip to Half Moon Bay. Highly recommend if you're craving solid seafood in a charming harborside setting! 5/5 stars.

The layout is thoughtfully organized, making it easy to find everything you need without any hassle. One of my favorite things is their selection of local products and specialty foods. From gourmet instant pastas and fresh cinnamon breads to Strauss milk, ice cream, and other delicious treats, there's always something great to discover. I can quickly grab ingredients for a healthy home-cooked meal, which has helped me save money and avoid unnecessary waste from overbuying. They even carry unique items like elk meats and savory jerky for when you're feeling a little adventurous. The meat department is outstanding--the marinated chicken is a must-try, and the beef is always fresh and high quality. And the deli? Hands down one of the best around. Their signature sandwiches are incredible--fresh, flavorful, and made with care. It's the kind of place where you go in for a few items and end up leaving with an amazing sandwich you can't wait to eat. What really sets Spangler's apart is the people. The staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. Their positive attitude makes every visit a great experience. Spangler's truly rocks. I'll definitely be back again and again!

The wait to get called in was around 15-20 mins and i dropped in their little souvenir shop. I met a very helpful and kind person Alex. I picked up a mug and a feelin' crabby shirt for me! Lots of great items here. I'll be back for more. The ambiance was full of sea items. The front main entrance has a fresh lobster tank. The entire building is very clean and organized. Almost 100% full capacity as well. Business is doing great. Finally the food. The best recommendation was from our lovely server Sulem. She was the heart of this wonderful restaurant experience. She went above and beyond to help us out with ordering and customer service. I want to come back and try more foods. The clam chowder being one of them! We enjoyed our meal today. Our favorite was the Aloha. It comes in a sushi and we actually loved it without the rice. Just the sashimi. It was a great first bite of the day. I'll definitely come back with the family again to try more of the menu. Thank you all for such a lovely experience!
