I highly recommend for a different way to celebrate in New Orleans. The only downside is the Bathroom is small and tight. If you have mobility issues or are plus sized, this may be an issue for you.

I have been on guided trips all over the country in many different size boats and types of fishing. Troy's communication ahead of time was great, and we had several phone calls to line up all the details. As luck would have it, high winds rolled in for the days we had booked. Troy's new boat is a beast and he was able to put us on the meat 2 days in a row, despite the weather being less than cooperative. A day opened up in my schedule and Captain Joeys schedule but I would have to bring along my daughter with us, I thought she might be a little to young. Captain Joey insisted it would be fine. My son(9 years old), my daughter(6 years old) and I headed South to Leeville,LA from Mississippi. We headed out early the next morning. Before leaving Captain Joey discussed what was expected of as far as safety which was very important to me because of my young kids. Throughout the day my kids and I both made memories we will never forget. Did I mention this was my kids first time fishing in anything other than freshwater. My son and daughter both caught their first red fish and trout, and many more after their 1st. One thing that really impressed me with Captain Joey and will make me a repeat customer for many more years to come was his passion. He was probably just as excited as me to see the kids experience their first Red Fish and Trout. He was all about helping the kids and also taking the time to teach the kids. He talked to them about how to hook a shrimp, what he looks for when picking a spot to fish, how to take the hook out and why you should never stick your finger in a saltwater fishes mouth(my son tried this on his first one) good thing Captain Joey was watching. By the end of the trip my daughter insisted that she should be baiting her own hook, Joey looked at me for approval and I gave the go ahead. She hooked her first shrimp perfect thank to Captain Joey. I think she was also convinced that the she was the Captain by the end of the trip also. I would recommend booking a trip with Squealing Reelz and Captain Joey to anyone, especially if you have kids and want them to have a awesome fishing experience. Actually they moved our group to the boat since they had a bachelorette and a birthday celebration so glad they did cause the other boat was not the bachelorette vibe. We were pretty hung over from the night before but we all RALLIED! Especially seeing how the other 2 groups were having fun. They definitely were a fun a vibe! We were able to actually see a crocodile!! They stopped and we were able to capture a glimpse of it before it went underwater. It was a fun boat trip. We brought our own drinks and snacks. We booked a 2-day guided trip for four to catch redfish. We were disappointed, to say the least…read more We all know how to fish, so were not expecting a lot of help with equipment or baiting hooks. However, having fished charters in Florida, Alaska, and Hawaii, this is the first time we have ever had to compete with our guide to catch fish. Never before have we even been with a guide who actively fished, but instead took care of his guests and kept them on the fish. The Captain stood in the prime angler's spot on the front deck next to the trolling motor - he had a remote, but chose not to use it, for what ever reason. His line was always the first one in the water, and he fished virtually every new area ahead of any of those of us paying for the trip. He did, reluctantly, put his gear aside for a quick reset if one of us asked for help, or to net a fish for us. Otherwise, it was as if he was going fishing, and we just rode out on the boat with him. He never put us in any area where there was a lot of activity; we would fish a non-productive area until we would finally all sit down and wait for him to look for another spot. We did catch some fish, but not much compared to the photos on their website of other groups with their captains on those same dates. Also, he did not dress the flounder properly that we caught, and the restaurant couldn't cook it for us. The second day, we just gave him the fish we did catch; I think he caught about 5 himself, and the rest of us caught about that many. With a paid trip for four, one of us had to sit out since the Captain kept fishing ahead of us. I was offered minimal compensation not to post this review. I told the owner I would not post it if they wanted to refund 1 full day of guided fishing as we had paid for two. They declined, so here it is.
