I'm 27 years old and had never experienced lockjaw before, so I was absolutely terrified and had no idea what to do. I kept calling multiple doctors, and they all told me to see a TMJ specialist or an oral surgeon--treatments that would have been very invasive. Finally, I called my dentist, who actually said that a chiropractor was the best place to go. That's when I decided to see Dr. Pashayan, who has been aligning my mom's and my back for years. I had no idea he treated TMJ, but when I found out, I was really excited to see him. He took the time to assess my condition, explained everything thoroughly, and performed a precise adjustment that immediately improved my jaw movement--all in just one session! On top of that, he showed me exercises to do if this happens again in the future, so now I'm able to adjust it on my own. If you're struggling with TMJ pain, I highly recommend seeing him before resorting to more invasive treatments. Absolutely life-changing!
