I contacted Andrew from Capital Scuba, after doing some online investigation into scuba instructing for my son Josh... Aside from being EXTREMELY cost competitive with the other Dive Instruction Businesses in Canberra, but he offered a 1-on-1 teaching too... Which I thought was a pretty good investment for my son when he is learning to dive... Anyway, we did our Theory, & Andrew was a great teacher, I was very impressed & Joshie really picked it up from such great tuition... But there were two areas that made me realise Andrew was such an AMAZING Instructor, firstly, in the Pool session, Joshie had a bit of issue with buoyancy & got a little anxious, as he went like an upside-down turtle... This panicked Josh, & he almost wanted to quit... But Andrew was able to calm Josh down & helped Josh with his anxiety... Secondly, Andrew made the two Open Water Dives seem so easy, & Josh was at home... I don't think the smile left his face all the ride home... Aside from doing all the skills, Andrew gave us an amazing 2 dives... We saw at least 9 Octopus, a couple of Port Jackson Sharks, a huge Wobbegong Shark, 4 or 5 GIANT Bull Rays, a good 2 foot Flathead, plus Nudi-branche to boot...
