Deciding to close my accounts with Navy Federal today after banking with them for the majority of…read moremy 14 years of military service and civilian life. I filed chapter 7 bankruptcy and was cleared of my debt. I've had a banner on my account marking me as a debtor for the 8 months of the bankruptcy and did not say anything because it was true. Now that my debt has been discharged for two months. I asked multiple Navy Federal employees for the banner to be removed, and told them it makes me feel ashamed and targeted. I was told that, even though the Federal government says I'm cleared of my debts and I've learned my lesson and have a second chance. If I bank with Navy Federal I have to keep that banner on my account. I'm a simple man from Alabama. If some shit seems like it's racist, it probably is. Y'all were awesome for a time NF. As soon as I figure out how to close my accounts, I will. Because y'all clearly forgot, I'm the customer and I always get what I want. -Andrew C

I will be closing my Navy Federal Account after being a member for 30 years!…read moreI have banked with Navy Federal all over the globe active duty and civilian life with multiple loans paid off. The ATM machine ate $450.00 and did not record it as a deposit. I escalated this through their call center, who were very pleasant btw. Their call center referred me to the branch management. The bank manager would not meet with me. After going round and round with the assistant bank manager she finally went back to the bank manager and they provided a credit after basically asking me to beg. What are we buying a car here?? They were condescending and rude and kept referring to their problems as a bank. Your poor business practices are not my problem. My problem is you stole $450.00 from me and basically calling me a crook. Adios Navy Federal.

This review reflects my personal experience as a former employee of Truist Bank…read more Working at Truist was extremely challenging for me due to what I experienced as poor organization, poor management and overwhelming workloads. During my time there, it was common for employees to be placed in situations where one person was expected to operate both the drive‑through and the lobby at the same time along with other things. This created constant stress and pressure, not only for staff but also for customers who often became frustrated--with that frustration directed toward the only person available: the employee. From my perspective, the workload expectations were unrealistic. There seemed to be very little concern for employee well‑being, and the demands of the job felt excessive. I often felt like the priority was pushing employees to "figure it out," regardless of the toll it took. In my experience, support and communication were lacking, which made the environment even harder to manage. For anyone considering working here, I would advise thinking carefully about whether this type of high‑pressure, understaffed environment is something you're willing to handle. My experience may not reflect everyone's, but I personally found the stress level to be extremely unhealthy and unsustainable. they will expect you to do a million things at once all by yourself with no help and if you come up short you will get in trouble for it. when I first started working there I found out that 3 people quit the job right before i came all in the matter of 4 months including the manager that hired me lol, when i got there she wasn't even there anymore, then 2 weeks after me being there another lady quit. its like a revolving door there, the turnover rate is ridiculous and its all because of how they treat their employees. Also, In my experience working there, I felt that the security procedures were not strong enough. I often saw situations where many customers' accounts were compromised and large amounts of money were taken, which made me feel that the security standards weren't where they needed to be. I would never Bank with them or work for them EVER again

I also appreciated the fact that there is a location so close to my home. I admit that I did not do a thorough enough research and did not realize until after the fact that this bank does not offer mobile check deposit. I am unable to drive and so that is very helpful for me. However, what I love about this bank is that they have gone above and beyond to help accommodate me bye making me very comfortable with mailing in my check deposits. The branch manager and everyone else I have dealt with have all been incredibly kind and helpful and understanding of my situation. I appreciate a business that looks at people as more than just a name or an account number and this bank, specifically this location in Crownsville, does exactly that!

We refinanced our mortgage with BOGB because they made it easy & straight forward on requirements…read morewhen big banks had requirements that were complex, and constantly changing. Also, when we have a question, we pick up the phone or stop by a branch. We liked it so much at BOGB that we used them for our business banking. They again, made requirements straight forward where other banks we used had a 10 page list of requirements which included making us login to online banking, having personal accounts, forcing us to have X transactions per month, etc. And to top it off, I have a local branch where I can email for questions, send in tax docs, etc, but also have the convenience to go to many branches. They have great people, locations and availability!

12/2016 review that yelp reminded me that I never posted…read more My friend bought a car from me and went here to get the cash from her account. She Is a Bank of America customer. I was told over the phone that the didn't have large bills but they could go with smaller bills. Not a big deal. I was depositing directly into my banks acct that same eve. Got there 45 minutes later and 18 minutes before closing. They were already closing the gate around the front door and I guess getting ready to get out of there. Again , we came in ready to finish our business. The teller was soo rude. First rolling her eyes and shaking her head continuously during our interaction with her. She first said she could not withdraw that amount because the vault was closed. Then she says it's too late for her to get that amount of money out. Then she said she could only give me a certified check because it was too late at night. Again Rolling her eyes and telling me I could then the next day take it where ever I wanted to in the morning. Lies! I tell her I called and spoke to Laurie and Laurie said it was fine just be there before the closed and it would have to be in smaller bills. A woman in yellow, I believe Laurie, intervened and repeated what she told me over the phone. Took us to another window and did everything for us. Very polite and professional. The first woman Mary? Terrible service! The WORSE! Downright RUDE to our faces! I can understand wanting to leave work on time, having to pick up your kids, get to margarita happy hour etc. DO YOUR BEST JOB! Everyday all day! Maybe her job as a teller is so secure that she doesn't feel the need to up her game. There are too many people out here without jobs who will gladly come work there if she can't be bothered. Smh
