Dr Bynum repaired my torn rotator cuff along with my bicep for a total of 7 screws. I'm active and…read morea big pickleballer; my right shoulder had lots of scar tissue from years of throwing the football/baseball and then I tore it on the PB court during a match. Dr Bynum considered it a "massive" tear and was the only Doc that said if you follow the PT exactly then I'm confident my surgery will fix this .....and it did !! It's been over a year now and my shoulder is twice as good as ever and I'm playing PB at a high level 4 days/week. Dr Bynum is an excellent physician at what he does .....and it doesn't hurt seeing him in Gods house every Sunday with his wife and boys !!!

He got so angry with me after I kept pointing out the radiologist report that he turned to me and said I'm going open you up. He came to see me in pre-op and was actually making sarcastic remarks about the size of the tear. We lo and behold the tear was so bad he had to anchor it in 4 places to reattach it to the bone. Additionally he had to do an it band release and a bursectomy. I couldn't obtain a copy of my op report for 9 business days. According to Dr Bynum we had a detailed conversation regarding this surgery and all possible side effects. Every visit post op was rushed and he never acknowledged that the radiologist was correct. So the op report was a farce.

Doctor Saunders performed a total knee replacement on my right knee back on April 1st of this year…read more Saw him for follow-up a few weeks later and told me I was doing well. Last month I was feeling pain and discomfort and saw him again. On that visit he told me different people heal differently. Well, today is 7 months later and my lack of stability and discomfort has not improved at all. I tried to tell him that on my last visit my concern and he pretty much told me it takes time. I made an appointment at another office and hope for a better outcome.

I thought long and hard about posting this because Dr. Saunders is a good doctor. But the…read moreexperience I had with his office was terrible. I waited 45 minutes and still did not get called and inquired about it. I noticed people going in after I had been there. So. visibly annoyed I asked again and said I would be outside. Was then called in, and waited again and when I went looking for water, Dr. asked if I was lost and wasn't going to put up with this BS. He told me his staff said I was a problem. Regardless of whether I was annoyed or whatever, instead of being met with understanding and maybe a sorry about the wait, they told the boss I was a problem leading to the doctor to reprimand me and I didn't hold back on him either. I think it is very wrong for them to make anyone wait an extensive amount of time. There are times these things happen, but you deal with them in a better manner that does not precipitate further animosity in a heighten emotional situation. In other words, say you're sorry to the patients for their wait and don't act like you just have to put up with anything because, well your here to see the "doctor".

(2/5) My experience…read morewith this facility was frustrating due to poor communication and a lack of accountability. Before scheduling, I confirmed with my insurance company that the facility was in-network for physical therapy. When I brought an outside PT referral, I was told the department only accepts referrals from its own physicians, so I scheduled an appointment and paid a copay solely to obtain the required referral. After following their instructions, I was then informed that the Physical Therapy department does not accept my insurance plan after all. Had I been told upfront that physician and physical therapy services have different insurance participation requirements--or been directed to verify coverage with billing--I could have avoided an unnecessary appointment, copay, and wasted time. What is most disappointing is the lack of acknowledgment or effort to resolve the issue. The problem isn't just the money; it's that patients deserve accurate information before being asked to schedule appointments and incur costs. I strongly encourage future patients to verify both physician and physical therapy coverage directly with the billing department before scheduling. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning.
