Since I never received a response, it seemed wise to post here so that other buyers can be vigilant in their shopping. I've been to the store a handful of times. These guys carry great products and seem to be excited and knowledge about their offerings. Many products do have quite the markup, so if that's an issue for you, be aware when you're buying. I am generally forgiving of the markups because I like to support small businesses, and the brands are high quality. My current feedback for customers is to carefully make sure to check the expiration dates. When my partner and I were in last Wednesday (August 5, 2020), we put quite a few items back on the shelves before check out because they were either expired or a day or two from expiring. Unfortunately, I grabbed a few bars of my favorite brands of chocolate and missed the dates. 3 out of the 4 bars I purchased were bad - chalky, separated, and turned. One of the bars had expired in APRIL 2020. Very disappointing. My advice: be prepared to allot extra time in your trip to carefully check the dates on the products (and the prices, too, as many of the items are not tagged with a price). Great stuff and a cool place... just with some unfortunate inventory issues at the moment.

I dropped in looking for turmeric root-- super hard to find-- but left without it. It's a small, modest store, with shelves full of the items listed above. Staff was friendly, helpful and polite, despite not having what I needed, and even pointed me to where he thought I should go. Would definitely come back for health/vitamin related needs, check this place out in person, if you're part of that demographic.

Last July while playing softball, I somehow injured the nerves in left foot. (at 74 years old not surprising). The pain was excruciating, like an electric shock in the back of my leg that radiated into my foot. And it kept me up every night, exhausting me the next day. I tried everything to soothe it, including pain patches, drugs, ibuprofen meloxicam, gabapentin, you name it. I also tried muscle stretching and rolling. deep tissue massage meditation.... nothing worked. But then, just last week while at Growing in Health, and told the proprietor, Dean Kennedy about the problem, asking if he could recommend some kind of CBD gel or cream. Dean is a great guy, a marine who was injured during his service and his using CBD to treat sciatica. He showed me a product called 'Biotech CBD Oil'. It seemed a little pricey, but being kind of desperate and trusting Dean's advice , I bought a jar of the stuff. I rubbed it into my foot that night. The unbelievable happened!. The nightly shocking pains just disappeared! I slept right through the night. and I've used it every night since. It basically transformed my life. Soon, I'll be seeing a neurologist about the injury to diagnose the root of the problem but until then, I can sleep, work out again, and it seems like a miracle. I can't thank Dean enough. I highly urge anyone who is suffering from muscle and or nerve pain to check out this store, talk with Dean about the possibilities for CBD in helping with alleviating pain, and helping to heal injuries.
