Two years in a row at GPA 3.2 I could never get accepted being a local. CCCC will take applicants from other states before letting the locals get accepted. All i had left was 9 months to graduate. now all my classes expired and my dreams failed at CCCC. theres literally extremely limited seats for LPNs to RNs. Everyone has their hopes up but nearly nobody but 8 people get in every year from hundreds of applicants. Dont put all your eggs in one basket like I did.

With that being said, Denise went out of her way to show us a bad time, and prove some sort of point with my step-daughter. I inquired about doing a private class, as my step-daughter is under the required age of 12. She said she couldn't accommodate that. I understood and signed my mother up for a class. She sent me an email late the night before saying she would make an exception to have me and my daughter attend otherwise she would have to cancel my mothers class, because she was the only one who signed up. I reluctantly accepted as it felt like some sort of ultimatum, but my mom was excited, and I didn't want to upset her. Everything was awful from the moment we walked through the doors. She spoke to us so condescendingly that it was absurd. My daughter picked out a project with sea glass, Denise explained that she needed to keep everything separate. When she was ready to move on to the next phase of the project, Denise came over and looked at my daughter's cups of sea glass noting that one was mixed. She dumps it out and says to me "See this is why we have age restrictions". I spoke to my daughter about it, and she told me that that was a cup that was already filled that she just grabbed. It made me feel like she planted that purposely to prove a point. My step-daughter is extremely artistic and disciplined as I tried to explain to her weeks before when inquiring about the class. What happened next was absolutely unacceptable. I received a call from my husband and needed to leave due to an emergency. I explained that I know my mom would like to stay for the full two hours as stated on her website. We arrived at 1:00 and it was 1:55 when I received the call. She informed me that she only has till 2:30. I said ok whatever I have to go, but my dad would be back to pick her up. To say that my mom felt rushed the entire time is an understatement. She all but threw her on the street basically. Handed her a take home kit and moved my project too soon that one of my seashells fell off. My mom ask that she simply glue it back on, and she replied with yes I do mind!! I don't touch other people's artwork. Well ya just picked it up and moved it to the point that it broke. She made nasty comments throughout about my father as to whether or not he was actually going to pick her up. We are a very nice family just trying to have a nice vacation. I'm not sure what this ladies problem was, but I wish she simply cancelled on us rather than ruining our entire day. Like what kind of person does that???

When I had asked if there were any books the school recommended for children with a family member going through deployment, they researched and sent me many different options to help with my child's emotional well being. It's no frills with no app or pics sent to you throughout the day, so if that's not your style - you're honestly missing out on the quality care they provide! Excellent communication from all staff. Children go outside every day, they do art, movement activities, and for the younger children, you get a daily sheet letting you know about their snacks/what they ate, diapering, sleep and what they did that day. And shared information that I never knew about Cape Cod. We have lived here for 11 years permanently and Kyle taught us so much that we didn't know about the Cape Cod that we love. If you have a chance to fly in this wonderful airplane, please do so because it will be an experience you won't soon. forget. I went to the commissioning ceremony for the new Massachusetts Maritime Academy Training Ship…read morePatriot State. It was a beautiful day to be outside at this amazing facility. Massachusetts Maritime Academy trains young men and women to be U.S. Merchant Marine Officers working on both government owned as well as commercial vessels all across the Globe. It a cooperative education program that couples both classroom as well as at sea education to train well adjusted Merchant Marine Officers. This training vessel is designed to be used for multiple purposes. It can provide both humanitarian support during times of natural disaster as well as being utilized as a training vessel for the students at the academy. The ship was recently completed by the Philadelphia Ship Yard and it is wholly owned by the US Government. During the ceremony US Senator Elisabeth Warren (D-MA) and the U.S. Maritime Administrator Admiral Ann Phillips gave their respective remarks on the completion and delivery of this magnificent vessel. Today was a good day for the future of the U.S. Merchant Marine!

I have never seen such a large group of people running, lifting weights, doing push-ups, and just horsing around in my life. We got to watch a swim meet, which was really really cool, and we got a full tour of the grounds. They were well taken care of and beautifully manicured, and the officer that showed us around was very knowledgeable and super nice. This is my second time to the Maritime Academy, and it won't be my last.
