My nephew went to cash a check from his employer today at CC5. The check was written from CC5 & made out directly to him. He brought a valid picture ID ( driver's license). The teller was NOT polite. She asked him for another form of ID & gave the following examples ( social security card or a birth certificate). I have specifically instructed him not to give out his social security number to avoid identity theft & nobody caries their birth certificate around with them. They then asked him to open an account which I think is completely inappropriate. I suspect it is because he's a person of color. A valid license should be enough. If you want to be discriminated against, do go to CC5, else avoid this bank! read more
