I was on a work trip and stayed in Palma. Obviously... I had to rent a motorcycle and rode the Serra de Tramuntana. What a great treat! There is a reason why it is considered one of the most beautiful roads in the world, and why it has earned the title of a Unesco World Heritage Site. The Cap Formentor is a the northern end of it and after riding for a few hours I ended up at the Cap. The road is so beautiful that sometimes I would say "this is so beautiful" and "damn I'm lucky" out loud in my helmet. If you are in Barcelona, hop over here. There are lots of flights to Palma from anywhere in Europe. Best time is before June and after August as that is the main traveling season and half of Europe is here. But before and after the summer when the temperatures are still very warm (I had 75 degrees in April for the entire ten days) it is a great time to come here. Enjoy.
