This place will gaslight you, withhold medical records, refuse to discuss imaging or procedures…read moreoutside of what they offer. It's about what's best for the clinic, not the patient. The worst PAs you could expect, bottom of the class, rough "doctors."

Minus 5 stars. This place caused my mother and I multiple problems. My mom went in for pain…read moremanagement. They recommended several invasive things and my mother said no because she forms scar tissue and has had injections and other things done in the past and they caused pain and swelling and neuropathy in her hands and feet. The Dr told her she might as well go home to die because she was never getting anything from them, then he told her talking to her was like pulling teeth or nails on a chalk board. As she was leaving they followed her outside and made her sign something saying she wouldn't kill herself. Now she has such bad PTSD I can't get her to go to any other appointments. I'm slowly watching my mom die and suffer so you got what you wanted Dr annabi . My experience there was a bit different. I was referred to them by my PCP when they made it hard for them to prescribe. They kept me on my medication but then I had to go to the hospital and they gave me several medications while I was in the hospital. Pima pain said my pee came back dirty and I need to provide the hospital information so I did. The person working there called the hospital but didn't ask for the correct thing so they sent the records without the medication list so they called me a liar and cut my dose in half. I went into such bad withdrawals and couldn't even get up to pee in time anymore so I was peeing myself and couldn't even make food anymore. I was miserable and knew pima pain would just tell anyone else I was non compliant so I ended up doing the unthinkable and went to the street. I ended up with sepsis and kidney failure and endocarditis. I had to have open heart surgery and have my heart valves replaced. Now I go to the methadone clinic and watch my mom slowly die. I also have congestive heart failure now. Turns out procedure was not to cut my meds in half they should have put me on the bupe patch but they didn't. I'm currently trying to get my mom on palliative care so hopefully she won't suffer anymore. As for me anytime I have surgery im viewed as an addict and the surgeon is very hesitant to give anything do I've endured unimaginable pain because methadone doesn't help with pain when taken everyday already. As other reviews have suggested this place is the cause of ppl going to the streets. I feel like an idiot for doing so but I was peeing myself and couldn't barely get out of bed.

I don't usually hand out five stars. Nobody is perfect. But…read morePima Pain comes close. 1.The staff are professional, yet not cold. In the whole time I've been going, I have never felt talked down to or disrespected by anyone, from the assistants, to the Doctors. 2.The facilities are spotless. That says a lot to me; I see it as a sign of attention to detail and good hygiene. Important, considering I'm coming to have needles stuck in my body. 3. Communication. People explain stuff, and don't seem to mind stopping for a question. And if they don't know, they find out. 4. Best online check-in service, ever. So easy. 5. For the past six years, I have been dealing with unrelenting pain. Once the opioid crisis hit, and the Feds started cracking down, doctors got scared. The Doctors I'd had for years wouldn't help me anymore. Every day was a struggle, and the possibility of having a decent quality of life started to seem remote. I found Pima Pain on Google. It was life -changing for me. I have always felt anxious about requiring opioids in order to do my daily activities with a reasonable amount of discomfort, and to get at least 4 hours of decent sleep at night. I'd become uncomfortable with being treated with suspicion, the little comments about problems with drug-seekers, etc. One I started at Pima Pain, it was a whole different game. Their goal is to give me a better quality of living, and they have delivered. My NP, Yvonne McLemore, really listens to me, answers my questions without making me feel that I'm wasting her time, and is always cheerful and optimistic. She's awesome. Dr. Annabi is one of the best doctors I've ever dealt with. I have read some of his reviews here, and I could not disagree more. He is clinical and intelligent without being condescending, he explains everything thoroughly, and he listens. He has been nothing but kind and compassionate to me, and if there's a problem, he comes straight out and talks about it in a frank and honest way, without just assuming, or acting like because he's got the Degree, he's right. Dr.Schiller also gets two thumbs up. He's quick and thorough, and I like his wry sense of humor. I recently lost a child, and the genuine kindness and compassion I've received at Pima Pain, from all these practitioners, has been incredible. Sometimes I am reduced to tears by their kindness. I am so grateful to have the help of these wonderful people. I'm not being compensated in any way for this review. I'm just telling my truth. Five stars!!!

Dr.'s at this clinic should not be licensed to work on disabled Veterans. They milk the office…read morevisits and procedures for money from the VA. They schedule you, tell you a procedure your getting then, change it after you show up. They charge the VA and don't care about how much pain your in. Dr. SHILLER SHOULD NOT PRACTICE ON VETERANS !!! HE IS the WORST DOCTOR I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY 20 YRS OF SPINAL PROCEDURES. He walked onto the treatment room and accused me of saying something to the medical tech that I didn't. I was scheduled for an ablation WITH anesthesia because of my severe back issues. This was my 3rd appointment they said they were doing ablation WITH anesthesia. When I questioned why they keep telling me they will use anesthesia and don't, he got upset with me. His tone changed to I don't care. He got nasty and said if I didn't like it, I should go to another clinic. He then asked me to leave and get out and go find somewhere else to get your procedure done. Of course after they already charged the VA for 4 visits. 2 of them were changed to follow-ups. Your appointment is the dr asking how your doing,1- 2 mins, no exam, NOTHING, and they schedule for the next wasted office visit. Dr. Shilling, besides his questionable skills , needs his license reviewed by the medical board. I don't think he knows what he's doing. He acted confused and acted and spoke very aggressively. When asking why they lied to me about the procedure, changing it after I showed up and scared me enough to get up and walk out before the procedure. Never seen a dr. talk to a patient like that. They don't care about your condition or pain. They just checked the box and do whatever they want. The VA is paying fot it. Who cares. Now I'm forced to start all over with a different Dr. Meanwhile, Im in bed 20hrs a day while Dr. Shilling takes pleasure in denying reasonable care and comfort. I can only hope PIMA Pain gets better doctors. I'm taking this incident to my congressional representative and TriCare for action against this Dr. and clinic. Now 3 months later I'm in worse condition and pain than before. VA CANCEL YOUR COMMUNITY CARE CONTRACT WITH THIS DOCTOR and PIMA PAIN CLINIC. THEY TREAT VETERANS LIKE A DISPOSABLE ATM. He's betting the VA just takes a report, forget about me slaps him on the wrist for abhorrent care. This ck8nic is why disabled Veterans hate community care !!!! I want a congressional inquiry on PIMA PAIN CENTER. I WANT DR. SHILLING TO NEVER OPETATE OR PERFORM ANY PROCEDURES ON VETERANS EVER AGAIN!!!!!! Veterans BEWARE OF Dr. Shilling.

I have been receiving pain management support for close to twenty years for idiopathic…read morepolyneuropathy. I have been to three different pain management clinics over the years. Receiving care at PISA has been a welcome relief. Unlike other pain management clinics in Tucson, this is an actual, REAL, doctor's office. I do not feel like I am at a methadone maintenance clinic or am perceived and treated as an addict. I haven't heard one rageful patient yelling at staff, whew. These are expert, competent physicians offering comprehensive treatment. The staff are kind, friendly, and supportive. There may be pain management clinics in Tucson that I have not experienced that are excellent. I can't speak to that. But in MY experience PISA is the best and I have no difficulty recommending them.

I think that's ridiculous asbim the one in 24/7 pain from a disease that will never go away. I have CRPS fibromyalgia scoliosis and migraines. After 6 1/2 year now they insist I come in every month. I can't afford that! Then the keep switching people on me. This one said we'd try new meds so I wouldn't have to come in every month. I said fine they didn't even do that! apparently it's no where in the notes!! They sent a med over I can no longer take because it reacts with a new med I'm on!! ( Which I told the helper and her) then sent my other med over! Last time they lost my paperwork! So tired of this !!!
