We usually eat at 6pm so by placing our order at 5pm I thought we would be OK...
We had a message at 6pm telling us that the restaurant has added another hour to our delivery time!
It was nearly 8pm when the food came and it was horrible, the chow mien was full of mushrooms when we asked for non, the crispy beef was so crispy as it was so over cooked it had a burnt taste to it and the noodles were very dry.
We phoned the restaurant and they said they would try and get another chow mien out later but it was already 8!
The food was left so I contacted Just Eat to complain and after an hour on chat the guy said they would refund me £5 and the beef is supposed to taste like that (burnt)
I paid over £30 and thought by using just eat I would have some kind of cover if something like this happens but no, Just eat claim to just give orders to the restaurants, but my argument is they make money through us using them so I want a full refund or I won't use them again.
They said if I returned the food I might get a refund? like they didn't believe me when I said we left it.
I told them the food is hear for them to collect but why should I take it back and then.... The chat was ended by Bono from Just Eat.
If you want to order a take away then DON'T use Just eat, just order direct as the restaurants just hide behind these jokes if something goes wrong.
The "food" came from the Cantonese house Plymouth. read more
