We searched for almost 10 months for a new church. Living on the border of Cumming and Milton our…read morechoices were just limited. After visiting about 12 different churches we finally committed to Revolution. Our main consideration was that the teaching was expository without a surface level insight of the Word of God. Pastor Jason challenges us each week and it has us digging deeper through the week just trying to satisfy our desire to learn more. The entire pastoral staff including Pastor David does such an incredible job with their exegetical method of explaining Gods Word. We also love the worship music music. For me it's just a deal breaker if the worship isn't quality. I was impressed by the talent God has given this worship team. It really does set the pace for the reformed style of preaching that is to follow. Having such great servant in the RevKids ministry was also a top priority for our infant. She is loved and you can tell the team there really does enjoy serving our baby. We are so thankful to this group of people who bless us each Sunday. We decided to make a 20 minute or so drive to church each Sunday just because all things are se well balanced here. For us it's worth the drive time because finding solid and true Bible preaching without being afraid to talk about the hot topics in respectful manners is so refreshing. This church is very…read morefamily focused, worship was dynamic/creative, and the sermon was Biblically sound with a balance of challenge and encouragement. I will say, it's not first-time focused. I was alone, and didn't have anyone greet me or come ask me my name. I came early and even hung around at the end to see if there were any circles of people my age or just women or people in general to talk to, and no one made eye contact or tried to find out who I was so I felt pretty bummed. But also it was just a first visit so I guess I can't make a full judgement unless I were to give it a few chances. But overall, it's worth checking out.

He gave a lot of Greek language understanding, which I appreciated. The needs of improvement. Once I got into the auditorium, it was well less than half full when music started. That is perhaps a peeve of mine. As a member, you know when it starts - be ready, be prepared. I'm a pretty outgoing guy, but no one spoke to me once in the building - No One. I sat down behind some folks, aside of others - No One spoke at all. My cologne isnt so bad as to cause no one to sit close or even speak. It was Palm Sunday, Jesus' Triumphal Entry of Christ to Jerusalem. The first song had absolutely NO "umph" or excitement to kick off a worship service - none, and it didn't get much better from there. I'd say less than half the worshipers were singing at all. We have an amazing savior to praise - to relish in worship. Not the case on my visit here. The pastor, though sticking with the text - John 5 - and giving the Greek words - gave almost no illustrations, stories or application. I'm happy about your recent trip to the holy land, but please tell me how it helps here in N Atl. Perhaps as a former pastor, having gone to conferences all over the country, I'm a tough critic. As i continue my search i doubt i will be back. I am looking for exciting spirit filled worship, contagious Christianity. They do a live satellite feed or a pre-recorded video of what happens live at the main North Pointe campus. There is no real fellowship. They also read from these new modern translations of the Bible and are kind of more of the charismatic church. If you are pro LGBT then this is the church for you.
