I have had a very positive stay at Decker Stables. While no place is perfect, the facility is undergoing long term renovations and the owner (who is really nice) works almost daily fixing fences, repairing the driveway, etc. It is true, the place needs a lot of work, but when things are broken the repairs are usually done the next day. Some of the pens get pretty muddy during the rainy season, but I have never seen a barn that doesn't. They feed and water once a day. You get 3 flakes of quality hay in the morning and evening, daily turnout during the warm months (weather permitting), three servings of shavings every week, an indoor and outdoor arena, and trails. They also have a really good trainer on site as well as a 4-H group, and the price of board is very, very reasonable.
The staff has been very helpful and they really care about the horses. The other boarders are warm and welcoming and everyone works together. You really can't beat that! read more
