My usual groomer had to get surgery for arm...rotator cuff or something, so I asked the cyber…read moreuniverse to recommend a place for me and a ton of people raved about this place. Of course I had to give them a try! First I brought in my long-haired chihuahua and told them to shave him down. He looked great! He did have a bad rash on his butt from caked-on mud and poo. He healed quickly tho. Then I brought in my standard yorkie and asked for him to be shaved down. (It's hot in the summer!) They did and I forgot how skinny he looked underneath all that hair! It's $50 because I asked for a bath, nails, and a cut. Totally worth it. They even put an adorable bandanna on your pup when they're done. I love that I can drop off my dog(s) super early in the morning. (Like, 6:45am) It helps with my schedule. It's a cute little place tucked back on a dirt road and tons of trees. I think I'll just stay with these guys! They do an awesome job.

I bring my Chihuahua here for vet services and they've always done well with her. So I can't…read morecomplain in that regard and I'm actually fairly satisfied when it comes to veterinarian services. Dr Anema and Dr Iverson are both very knowledgeable typically from what I have observed. However, when I took her over there today for a weekend boarding stay, I was extremely appalled to hear that they basically stay in their crates for most of the weekend. The only time they're able to come out is for a bathroom break around 7 AM and 4 PM, on both Saturday and Sunday. From 4 PM Saturday to 7 AM Sunday, that breaks down to about 15 hours!!! I told the front desk gal it was appalling that they would have dogs have to hold their urine for that long and that we wouldn't ever have humans do that. At which point she told me dogs and humans are not the same. I ultimately chose to still not bored Carmen, my Chihuahua. And then when I came home, I looked up the maximum possible and maximum suggested waits between breaks and this is what I and found online: "Unlike humans, healthy adult dogs can hold their pee for ten to fifteen hours. This may sound like good news as you won't have to take your dog to pee more often. But, going for so many hours without peeing could lead to urinary tract infections, urinary stones, and other life-threatening health factors." Knowing this about their boarding services and the information I've read online--and, yes, I'm aware of how to verify resources and to not believe everything you read online-- I'm not positive I will even be bringing Carmen back for veterinarian services either. How could I conscientiously allow my dog to be in the care of people who don't give, forgive my language here, a good darn flipping DUCK, about subjecting her to conditions that could ultimately cause her harm and/or death?!? If you want your dog to slowly die due to substandard boarding conditions, just save yourself the money, time, and effort, and instead put him or her in a kennel for 15 hours with nothing except some onions. It would save you $52. (This is complete sarcasm--please don't ever do this and please take your dog to the humane society or animal rescue if you hate him or her that much!!!)
