My parent was there over a year & Mgmt continuously attempted to charge us for anything & everything. It was stressful & repulsive. With the exception of one person in Mgmt, the rest are leeches. After my parent died, only one Mgmt employee gave condolences after I called to tie up some things-not a word from the rest. At least they were finally showing their true selves. Additionally, one employee harassed my parent & tried to convert my parent to evangelical Christianity despite my parent being a reformed Catholic. I'd never recommend them, I'd warn people about what to expect. If you're very well-off, there's no problem but if you're on a fixed income, even if it's quite a healthy upper-middle class income, be prepared for them to bleed you dry...all while smiling & pretending to care. I'm especially directing this review towards the hospice team that came into my patents's home to provide hands on care. We were very fortunate to have Alyssa, Trey, and La Sarita help us out. They were excellent communicators and very caring and competent. They exhibited great teamwork. They addressed our questions without making us feel like we were wasting their time. An additional note. After my Dad passed, just 13 days after entering hospice, my Mom did not want to sleep in her bedroom alone. Gracious Care Hospice made arrangements so we could keep my Dad's rented hospital bed so I could sleep next to her and hold her hand as she grieved the loss of her husband of 68 years. That act was outside of the hospice routine, but was a key to helping my Mom pass peacefully, 17 days later. Thank you, Gracious Care Hospice.

I expect to have my dog with me during certain activities, certainly not in the dining room, but with me as I partake in the events and activities provided. My decision was made due to this ruling.

The reception desk is behind glass and we patiently awaited either of the two ladies talking inside the office to assist us or at the very least acknowledge our presence at the desk. During our approximately five minute wait, one of the two ladies looked our way, but never indicated that they saw us and would be with us at some point in time. After what we believe was an extraordinary amount of waiting, we decided to leave without talking to any staff member. I sent an email to management via their website to describe our experience and never got a reply from them. While I am not willing to assume that the care-givers would exhibit similar behavior, I am still somewhat dismayed that any employee of Beaverton Lodge would ignore someone seeing assistance at this facility.
